This wheel is for a 10 to 14 year child wanting a direct wheel drive so that as a parent you feel your child will never be harmed by the wheel. This is simple because the wheel is so week. So, it is one star because Thrustmaster did that exaggerated marketing positioning it as something increasable whereas it is simple a simple weak direct drive wheel. So, this can be for casual driving but not compapitive racing. I guess it's torque is 2NM and 5 peak. It ships with screws that are too long or the wheel design need different screws shorter. Final conclusion is Thrustmaster went back to its roots doing midiocares average products but this time with that much of marketing. If you want it for competitive racing you will be way disappointed.

if you have a proper set up and think this is the wheel, it's not. I don't believe that the mounting pattern for this wheel is not standard. if I didn't buy it with the discount of cyber Monday I would have been more furious. I now will have to fabricate an adapter or drill my wheel mounting plate to have it installed. or maybe sell it and get something more professional, I was mislead by reading direct drive thinking it would be good, didn't think this is worse than the tgt2

I’ve been using the Logitech G29 for a long time, so I noticed the difference straight away when I switched to the T598. Even though it didn’t fit my stand at first, the included clamps fixed that easily and held the wheel firmly in place. The pedals are a real highlight. Being able to adjust the spring settings gives you much better control and a more realistic feel compared to what I was used to before. The force feedback on the wheel is amazing smooth, strong, and really helps you feel the car on the track. This setup will glide you round the track and feels effortless and much more immersive than the G29. I also bought the Thrustmaster F1 add‑on wheel at the same time, but it turned out not to fit the T598, even though it’s also a Thrustmaster product. So if you’re planning to buy an add‑on wheel, make sure you double check the connection type and compatibility first. I originally bought this after watching other gamers use it, and I’m glad I did. It delivers exactly the kind of performance I was hoping for. I’ve been watching a YouTuber using this exactly the same wheel on the 9th of January 2026 for 24 hour race and worked amazingly good. The only thing about this wheel it gets very warm, but this is normal. Overall, a great upgrade with solid build quality, adjustable pedals, and fantastic force feedback.

The device from 3rd month start disconnecting and you can’t play any more and it is common issue you can search about it.

I think the first batch released might have had some issues. The wheel kept disconnecting from the PS5, and the throttle would randomly stop working. I returned it and bought a replacement. The new one has no issues at all and is performing very well. The force feedback is much better than it was on my old TX wheel. If it weren't for the initial problems, I would have given it 5 stars.
