I installed this pet door insert in my sliding patio door and overall I’m really happy with it. The frame feels solid, and installation was straightforward — it took me about 3 minutes, and I didn’t need to modify the door at all. The flap is sturdy but still easy enough for my 14-lb dog to push through after a short learning period. I also appreciate that the insert can be removed if needed, which makes it flexible if you ever want to take it out. I was also glad to see it seals well once adjusted. A couple things to consider: you do lose a little bit of door width when the panel is installed, and getting a tight seal around the edges may take some patience depending on your door type. Once adjusted, though, it works well. Overall, this solved the constant “open the door for the dog” problem and has absolutely been worth the purchase.

Great buy! I bought this after having my sliding door open so my cats could go out onto the balcony, but a bird flew into the living room and it took forever for the bird to figure out how to get bak outside. It was so easy to put together. Fits my sliding doors nicely and are easily adjustable. You can put it in the track of the screen door or in the track of the glass slider. The screen insert has easy to remove or install clear panels for over the screens. They keep the heat out and the air inside during the summer and keep the heat in and the cold out during the winter. In spring and fall I remove them to let the breeze in. Well built and sturdy. The little doggie/cat door is also easy to remove if you choose to. My cats did not figure out how to use the little door at the bottom so I took it off. The little door has a magnetic edge on the bottom side so when your pet goes out or comes in, it clicks into place as it closes.

Great product. Allows you to enjoy your sliding screen door and still let the dog in and out. Quick latch mechanism makes installation and removal a breeze. Comes with plastic panels if you don't want just a screen. My one complaint/caution is the size. The opening is pretty small. I ordered a Large, and it was big enough for a Corgi, but not much bigger. Not sure how it would work for a truly large dog.

My cat took a bit to figure out how to get through the door, but eventually he figured it out and the device works like a charm. I like that I can remove one or more plexiglass panels to regulate how much air is coming through. I thought that would be a pain but nope, pretty easily configurable. Great product, well designed.

I bought this because of the decent amount of good reviews. My mistake was not confirming all of its dimensions. When I received and opened the box, the disappointment hit hard. This item is about 7/16" thick. Maybe for a sliding door on a high balcony this will work, but for a backyard sliding door not a chance I would consider it. I repacked and returned it. It is flimsy and not a good fit for my type of sliding door. My sliding door track is roughly 2" and this item didn't sit in it right at all. I considered filling in with the gap with furring strips to tighten the fit but decided to just not bother with it. It didn't come with any weather stripping to help seal out air coming in. Like I said this could very well work with a balcony that is not on ground level like an apartment or condo, but I would not trust it at ground level.

We have used this door for our dog for about a month now. She is used to having a doggy door and backyard but we recently moved into an apartment with a patio. We wanted to offer here the same as before. The overall idea of this is amazing! It's a great fit with the sliding door. I did have to add some extra window weather strip to keep some draft points out but that was expected. It's adjustable and fits pretty snug as you want it. Easy to install. A few cons: The flap is magnetic but doesn't really stick so the flap blows like crazy depending on the weather and does let bugs in. I have found a way to block it during times when she doesn't need it, but a more sturdy swinging door like a hard plastic would be better. The second con is that the windows side out to allow air flow like a screendoor but once isntalled, one of the sliding pieces won't come out without resizing the door temporarily to pull it out. That's not very efficient. Our sweet girl only has a short time left with us, so we wanted to try and give her what she knew, so it's working for us, but next time, I'd look for door that has a more sturdy, hard plastic flap.

After i installed this....I could not wait to get on here and review! Very easy set up Im very happy as a person that has to get up every 2 hours and let the dogs out through the sliding door you could imagine how thrilled i to get this! Very easy and adjustable for right into the frame and glass door securely slide against it for tight fit i raise it to the right height no tools needed. Love they included weather proof panels as well. We get lots of dust storms in AZ . The down side i don't see where you can secure the actual doggie door is a little flap. I'm have to look further Down down side but my fault but theirs. Going on a2 day trip... I waited until the night before to install it. One of my dogs is deathly afraid of it the other was coaxed with treats so probably should have set this up sooner. Great inexpensive way to have a pet door when really needed!!! No hassle and even someone like me can install.

I measured and was expecting this to fit on the sliding door track but it doesn't. It fits on the screen door track, which is fine because it doesn't have a latch to lock the glass door (or the screen door) to it. You do have to remove the existing locking latch on your frame so the door fits properly. Also there is no insert to lock the dog door area itself so closing the glass door and locking that is the way to secure. I like the adjustable height and with two people it can be installed tight enough so it stays put. Our glass door isn't very wide and I was afraid there wouldn't be enough room for us to go in and out but there is more than enough room turning sideways. Oh, and make sure to use a soft cloth when cleaning the plexiglass so it doesn't get scratched. Paper towels are not recommended! All in all I do like this door. Easy to install with no damage to the house door frame.

bought as proof of concept, as this has acrylic panels and mesh screen already built in thought to modify it to fit midea duo ac vent. using weather stripping and 3m dual lock mounted ac vent panel to weather panel after cutting out necessary hole. acrylic is a little flimsy but it worked better than expected! now all that's left is to replace doggy door with a solid panel

This is perfect for my dashound during the warm weather. We live in a Condo and this allows her to go in and out on the balcony to have a look down below and catch some rays of sunshine. It is easy peasy to put in the track and take down if a cooler days. She doesnt like the magnetic door so I just took it off., and away she goes. Great purchase

This product is great. My one regret is i wish there were multiple options for the doorflap. Having trouble getting my pet to press into the door to enter/ exit. It seems a bit much for them, theyre cats. They love it with the flap off. That said i dont regret the purchase at all. So easy to set up. Removing and readding the flap is easy with just 2 screws. I may just make my own mesh door to attach with the existing screws for them.

Aweful! Keeps falling, flap door very stiff, dog will not go thru it!
