Tailgate Insert Letters Compatible with 2021 2022 2023 2024 3D Emblems with Strong Adhesive 250218 Matte Black

This black F150 tailgate decal fits perfectly in the factory “F150” indentation and gives the back of the truck a sharp, finished look. Installation was quick and easy, just clean the area, peel, and stick. The alignment was spot on, and it went on smoothly. The adhesive has been excellent so far. It’s been through rain, heat, and a few car washes, and it’s holding strong with no peeling or lifting at the edges. The finish still looks brand new, and it definitely adds a custom touch without being over the top. If you want to give your F150’s tailgate some subtle style, this is a simple and affordable upgrade that delivers.

Letters look great. Seem like quality material. Adhesive seems to be good. Install is super easy since they are actually thick and align easily. Be careful, the "5" has a top and bottom. Don't ask me how I know. I also put the skinny side of the "0" on the top. I couldn't really tell on the actual tailgate so I just picked an orientation. Really make the tailgate look finished. Very happy with the look. I'll update if the Adhesive fails. Matte black really pops against the Carbonite Grey.

This letter kit looks great, a great value and they're easy to install. Just a few tips and notes though: You don't need to use water to put these on if you take your time, and if you do- use very, very little water. Decals you install with water, these have sticky back tape. I did the dash first with water to see how things would go, and it really took more time to do it that way because you have to make sure that it gets dried out. It wanted to slide around for quite a while and I was concerned that if I stuck it on there and left it, that it would actually slide down out of place and then adhere. The others I put on dry and just took my time lining them up and they went on just fine. *The zero actually has a top and a bottom. One line is a tiny bit thicker than the other.. I noticed this about an hour after I installed, I had the thick line on the top because that's the way it came off the sheet. To me as a door installer, I believe a larger profile always goes at the bottom and I wasn't about to just leave this like that even if I damaged the letter getting it off. Now after looking at some of the pictures that I've seen, it looks like some have actually stuck the thick line on the top and maybe that's the way its supposed to be I don't know for sure. It's not a huge deal either way, it just would have bugged me. Either way, just be aware that they are different. Anyway to remove the zero, I took my thin bar, hooked the very edge of the letter and gently but firmly pulled up and the tape gradually released. I slowly worked my fingers along the edge pulling the rest of it up and slowly but surely got the entire thing off. Just don't try and peel it off fast cuz it probably will crease the thin lines, keep your fingers off the tape on the back and don't pry against the paint and you'll be just fine. I flipped it around and stuck it back on and it adhered right away. So if you're concerned about your paint, removing the letters is not going to damage your paint/clear coat unless your paint is already in bad condition. I've gone through the car wash a couple times and I've had zero problems.

Easy to install if you take your time. Product seems like it’s good quality and the tape is very sticky. I am happy with the purchase and time will tell about the durability of the product. The price was solid for what I received and gave me look I was after.

I absolutely LOVE these! They’re a perfect fit on my 2025 XLT. At first I wondered if I should have gone with a different color, but I actually love the subtlety here. Matte black against the antimatter blue is super subtle, but the difference between matte and glossy is perfect. Paired with my black appearance package, I think I made the right choice. Also, the adhesive is excellent - just clean the surface well before applying. Get this if you want that final detail that makes it feel factory complete. You won’t be sorry!

looks great, but adhesive could be better. it is a little weak. the plastic seems to be quality cut and fit. easy to install. i cleaned my metal with car wash, then water, then rubbing alcohol, then dried with clean rag, then low heat heat gun to make sure it was dry. the glue at first seemed great, but several weeks later i noticed the 0 coming off. i know i did everything i could. i believe a better tape is needed. for the price it is fine, but look for better tape. i am going to remove and replace the tape as needed. as for the looks on the race red- it is great.

Looks much nicer than the stamped metal for sure. Inexpensive and easy to install ...
