Perfect Ice Every Time – The Ultimate Ice Maker for Whiskey Lovers
I just got the Clear Ice Ball Maker, and wow, I’m seriously impressed. As someone who loves Liquor, having ice that doesn’t melt too fast and water down my drink is a huge win. The crystalflux stuff they mention really makes a difference —each ice ball comes out super clear with barely any air bubbles, and they melt slowly, keeping my drink just right. The best part is how fast it makes the ice. Within 40 minutes, I already got ice balls ready to go. This is a game-changer when friends come over, and I’m trying to impress them with a nice drink. Plus, it makes up to 144 balls a day, so it’s perfect if you’re serving drinks for a crowd. Another cool thing is how easy it is to maintain. The self cleaning is great, and I don’t have to deal with any hassle when it comes to keeping everything fresh. It’s also pretty quiet when it runs, which is a big deal for me, cause i have it on the counter. & that caused another concern if it was too big for my counter as it can be used comercially to a water line also, but it’s super convenient for home countertop just fill it with water manually. Overall, this ice maker has made my whiskey nights so much better. Totally worth it!

It's pretty nice!
I gave this ice maker a try as I've always been curious of the appeal of spherical ice. It's actually pretty decent as it has a built in water inlet and an outlet for replacing the existing water. The Water Inlet is optional, so it's not the end of the world since I couldn't connect the inlet without making some janky water line install in my kitchen as it also allows you to manually pour the water into the unit to start the ice making process. As for how fast (or slow) it is, I have no point of reference. I believe it's on the faster side, but again... no point of reference since it's the 1st spherical ice maker I had. The ice balls it produces, it is a pretty solid sphere and it's almost clear enough that I'd almost mistake it for a marble, so it's pretty high quality! The only thing I didn't realize when I purchased it was that the unit was bigger than anticipated. 1 thing that confused me about the product was the extra add-ons that it comes with. There's a rubber ice padding that's used to soften the fall of the ice balls and the plastic ice ball holder (in case you plan on keeping a few solid ones for immediate aesthetic use). All in all, it's an overall decent ice sphere maker Pros: * Fast production * Has a water (optional) inlet/outlet * Self-Cleaning functionality * Good/High(?) quality ice spheres * Easy setup Cons: * Larger than expected * The manual doesn't include information about the add-ons * A bit pricy (no point of reference as it's my 1st ice sphere maker) Overall: For what it is, it's a pretty good maker!

Ice cubes are clear (not cloudy), but contain lots of cracks.
Interestingly, the Ice maker works pretty well. In two hours, you've got about a dozen cubes. What they don't tell you is that there is a cylindrical hole in each ice cube (about 1/4" W by 1/2" D. No big deal, but it's there. More importantly, they fail to mention that the ice cubes come out cracked (I presume because at the end of the freezing cycle, it heats the ice cube up so it will easily drop out of the mold, causing cracking). Are the ice cubes clear? Technically, the ice is not "cloudy", but to me, if it's cracked, it's not very "clear." These are not like the perfectly clear, crack-free ice cubes you get at high end cocktail bar. I will say, they do melt slowly compared to cloudy cubes. I used distilled water, not tap water, due to the hardness of my tap water. It's a pretty clever design, but I just wish they weren't so cracked.

Ice Ball Maker works Great!!
I decided to try this ice ball maker bc we never have enough ice to fill everyone’s water bottles. When I first opened the maker I was surprised by its size, it was larger than I had anticipated. I will say there are a number of things I really like about it. 1. It runs very quiet. I have had other counter top ice makers that are so loud, this one is not at all! 2. It keeps the ice balls frozen for a long time, they don’t melt fast at all. 3. It makes a lot of ice! 144 balls in 24 hours is way more than I would ever use but would be wonderful if I was having a party. 4. The ice balls are really good size but fit nicely in water bottles which is a huge plus. 5. I like the option of actually hooking it to a water supply and drain. You have to have the right location to be able to do that but it is a really nice option. 6. The self clean function is really nice. It’s so easy to start and runs quickly. It’s also easy to drain the water tank after running the self clean. 7. Using filtered water the ice balls come out crystal clear! 8. The ice balls are perfect for your cocktails/whiskey. They do not melt fast so they don’t water down your drinks. There a couple things that I could see as improvements. 1. The drip tray is okay but I wish it actually attached somehow. It’s always getting pushed away from the maker and well then it doesn’t work so well. 2. The water reservoir isn’t huge but this wouldn’t be an issue if it was hooked to a water line and drain. Overall I really like this Ice ball maker and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Great
This is great. Our ice maker broke so instead of buying new fridge we went this route. It is super easy to set up and makes a great cube. We are super happy we have yet to hook directly to water but that’s on the list of things to do.

This machine is a litany of bad design choices
I’ve had this for a week and so far, I’m rolling my eyes. The option of having a water supply and drain lines are present, but I can’t use them due to my circumstances. So I have to manually fill the water reservoir. I’ll start there. The door doesn’t open far enough to fill the reservoir with a one-gallon jug of distilled water without spilling it all over the place. This is the first idiotic design choice. Designing the door to open to 90 degrees would solve this problem. I cannot fathom why it was designed this way. It also makes it more difficult to remove the ice bucket. Furthermore, the “Max Fill” marking for filling the reservoir is not visible AT ALL without getting a flashlight, even though the inside is illuminated and my kitchen is brightly lit. I attached photos of this stupidity. The joke of a drip tray is completely inadequate and useless for the amount of water that gets spilled during filling and regular use. So much so that I don’t even bother to use it. But here’s the biggest head scratcher: The way this machine works is a continuous process of producing and melting down ice spheres, which makes zero sense. The ice bucket sits above and shares the same space as the water reservoir and is perforated on the bottom. This arrangement makes it physically impossible to keep the ice frozen. Once ice is produced, it begins melting. The machine can keep the ice bucket full, but since all the ice is continuously melting, all but the topmost layer of spheres are useless due to being in a misshapen state of being half-melted, leaving maybe half-a-dozen (at most!) usable spheres on top of the bucket at any given time. And those spheres are only really usable for a short amount of time after the machine spits them out, as they begin to melt right away and are unusable by the time the machine spits out the next batch. To make matters worse, once the bucket fills up, oftentimes a sphere or two will get stuck above the top rim of the bucket and melt itself to the lower spheres so they stay there, blocking the sensor so the machine isn’t triggered to make new ice. Before long, all you’re left with is an ice sculpture of half-melted, misshapen spheres climbing up the back wall of the bucket, with no usable ice. Because of this continuous melting / production cycle, it runs nearly nonstop, and it’s relatively loud. The end result of all of this is really wet, barely frozen ice. So wet that I wouldn’t use these in a cocktail right out of the machine as they melt extremely fast causing the dilution level of the drink to go through the roof. Instead, I have to remove the most recent 5 or 6 spheres, if I can find that many looking good, and put them in a container in my freezer so they can be properly frozen. All else aside, I just cannot even wrap my head around the fundamental design choice of continuously producing and re-melting the ice. WHY??? This is not an ice maker, this is….well…I don’t even know what to call what this machine does. Why not separate the water reservoir and keep the ice frozen??? My guess is that’s their gimmick for making “clear” ice - keeping it wet. Because when I put the spheres in my freezer to be properly frozen, they’re as cloudy as my manually produced spheres. This thing is getting returned. What a joke.

Great customer service!
After a few days of using this, the add water light went on even though it had enough water in it. It would not make ice even when I added some more water, so I turned it off and back on and it was fine. A few days later, it did the same thing. So I wrote to the seller to let them know I might have a problem with this unit and would keep in touch with them. They wrote right back and asked if it did happen again to send them photos. It did happen again, so I sent a couple of photos and they decided rather than wait for it to mess up again or possibly stop working, they would replace it without me having to return it. Such great service! I rec'd the new one today and so far, so good, it seems to be working fine. Also- it was making great ice quite fast. I am very pleased with both of them, though I will put the first one aside as a backup for the future because these units eventually need replacing. When that happens I can keep making ice with the first one until I buy another and not have to buy a bag of ice while I wait. At least, I hope so. You never know, it might decide to die when I take it back out. ;0). This ice maker is a great size and fits on my counter without taking up too much room and I love the large size ice! Much better than the ice the unit I had replaced this with. Much thicker and doesn't melt as fast. Also, I'm really happy that it will clean itself.

Works as advertised!
I've had this for 24 hours and made sure to leave the unit standing for 12 hours before I even first tried it out. I don't imagine the unit was kept upright during transport by the delivery process so waiting before using gives the unit a chance to settle its 'freon' before operation which protects the longevity of the appliance. It made ice as quickly as it stated it would when I first started it up and the ice does not have any flavor from the manufacturing process. Its pretty quick to get a basket of ice then go dump it into the bag in the deep freezer to keep my ice tasteless. Ive been doing small batches and quick freezing them in the fridge freezer because they will be wet coming from the ice maker and straight freezing them all in the same bag will make the bag of ice stick together into one block. Best to quick freeze mini batches then break them up into the ice bag as you add them in with the rest. That keeps the cubes relatively individually frozen for easy dispensing when you want them. Ive already made almost 2 full bags of ice, which will last some while here for our drinks. I unplug the unit at night and when I don't need ice to be made. The 'laser' shut off works properly and when I have a full basket the machine stops it's processes until the basket is emptied, but I'd rather just shut it down when not in use. I'm very happy with the unit. It's quiet, convenient, and make nice tasty little cubes. If I have any issues with this unit I will update my ratings but so far, it's 5 star all around. Especially since I got it at a 'lightning deal'.

Well Constructed Counter Top 5* Unit for Quick Production of Ice Within 12minutes approx.
Update: Once filled to the Max-Full liine with water this compacy counter top sized ice machine jumps into action and starts making ice. Note that your 1st batch may be a little watery in appearance but appreciate that the machine has to go from room temp to frozen first. The ice scooper pushes the bullets into the bucket and continues to make ice until the bucket is full - about 3-4 scoops at 8-12mins between each. The red light then comes on while the machine is in pause-mode. Remove the ice cubes and immediately place them in your freezer for later use (or in your drinks if you're ready lol) I found that the LARGE ice cube setting is best. CON: Initially time consuming yes as you do have to check back to see when the bucket is full, however with practice I'm sure I'll get to know exactly how long a full bucket takes and simply do something else while waiting for that magic transfer moment. PRO: The machine is quality constructed with parts cleverly put together to meet one's needs - basket, scoop and 2pc plastic freezer bags and a handle are included. Customer Service and Care is outstanding, so if you have any questions or concerns, do contact them. I am more than happy to recommend this novel countertop icemaker from Ecozy ~ 5*
