Surprisingly good
I bought this because someone was threatening to throw tariffs onto Columbia and I thought, well, crap... should grab a big bag of cheap coffee before coffee costs $100/bag. We threw it in the cabinet and didn't really think about it again. The first time I drank it, it was decent. Absolutely no bitterness. At all. I almost missed a little bite. Went back to our old coffee ($20/lb from Whole Foods) and didn't really think about it again. So... When my husband made this for me last night I told him it was the best cup of coffee he'd ever made me. I DID NOT KNOW HE BREWED THE AMAZON COFFEE. I just thought he finally fixed my coffee the most perfect way. The next morning when I brewed the coffee, I was surprised to find that we only had this coffee in the house. And he told me my "most perfect cup" was indeed the Amazon coffee. Maybe it was the blind taste test, maybe it was thinking it was the far more expensive coffee—confirmation bias is powerful. But I have to say I look forward to this coffee every morning and every night. It doesn't give me caffeine jitters. It doesn't give me acid reflux. It's nice and smooth. It doesn't take much sweetener at all so be careful with your sweetener of choice. And... it's a good price. A rarity these days.

Tastes great DARK STRONG coffee u get a 32 oz bag for a great price
Great price We usually use Lazaro and Starbucks but I had bought the K pods in this Amazon dark roast and it was delicious So I ordered this ( it’s 32 ozs so that’s almost 3 regular bags ) I mix it with 1/2 my EXPENSIVE coffees and it’s delicious I just was shocked the the 2 coffees mentioned above have DOIBLED in price But when we mix it with 1/2 of this Amazon brand it keeps the overall price down We still buy our 2 favorite coffees but lasts longer because we mix it And it tastes delicious FUI this is a STRONG BOLD DARK ROAST we are from Europe so in Italy we take it STRONG Very pleased with this giant bag now we have it on subscribe and save U can’t beat this price It’s 3 bags of Lazaro ( 11 ozs a bag) and now 6 bags is over $50

Bold
The grind was smooth and consistent, which made brewing easy whether I used a drip machine or a French press. The first sip had a bold, slightly smoky flavor with just a hint of bitterness, but not in an overwhelming way, more like a strong coffee that wakes me up without feeling burnt. It had this deep, roasted taste that lingered just long enough without being too heavy, and I found myself enjoying it black just as much as with a splash of milk. The balance between smooth and strong was what stood out the most, making each cup feel satisfying without needing anything extra to fix it.

Good average coffee that's worth it.
Great average coffee for the price. I wasn't expecting gourmet taste, but the flavor was good. Not the best and definitely not the worst. It's what I expected. No regrets with this purchase. I have this on my subscribe & save to help make it even more inexpensive.

Quality and price!
I ordered Amazon bold because my folgers black silk 33.7 oz can went up just short of $6 overnight @ Walmart (was $13+ and went to $19+). Well Amazons bold is better tasting much to my surprise and the same price my Folgers used to be for a 33 oz container, $13.46 delivered next day.

Meh, not particularly bold or flavorful
It is not terrible, but I could get a dark roast in a plastic tub from the grocery store at a lower price if I was just going for “not terrible”. I use a French press or pour over method to make coffee and found this “bold” dark roast to be weak and rather bland. At this price point, I could go to Trader Joe’s or Aldi and pick up their dark roasts. They are MUCH better. I was just looking for a back up since there have been some supply issues. This will not be my back up. I didn’t find this coffee offensive in any way, but it was definitely lacking in flavor and strength. I notice they are aggregating the roasts together, so I only am commenting on the bold, dark roast, but if you like dark roasts, keep looking…

Good Value
I've been pleased with this coffee. I'm the first to admit that I'm not super picky when it comes to my daily grind, but I think this tastes as good as the more expensive options.

Almost premium..an update
If you like robust dark roast coffee as I do, this coffee will not disappoint. It does represent good quality/low price = Superb value. It’s far better than the store brands ( Maxwell House/Folgers etc) has a faint after bite but not too noticeable. Same could be said for a good if faint real coffee taste. On a scale of 10, I give it an 8.5. Dark roast Folgers: 6.5, to give you an idea of what you’re getting. Pretty, Pretty, Pretty GOOD! An addendum: Recently bought my first cup of black coffee from a Bo Jangles eatery, wasn’t expecting much but will say it was pretty good! It was a little less smooth than the coffee reviewed here but had twice the rich taste of the brewed product. So, you can realistically compare the Bo coffee to this Amazon issue before you buy , then decide if it’s for you. Bought the dark roast Amazon coffee beans & a grinder. Still smooth but about a 25% increase in taste which makes that combo worth it. It’s extra work involved but if you love dark roast robust coffee, it’s worth your consideration.
