1 Micron 4"x14" Singed Polyester Felt Filter Bag PESP4S Size 4

I added one of these to our pool's pump output to provide some additional filtering for a cloudy pool. I used this instead of the much more expensive "SlimeBag" product. It worked as intended and helped to clear up the pool and only cost a fraction of a "SlimeBag".

This filters beeswax beautiful!. I love the small size. My beeswax went from a dark brown to a bright pretty yellow! Great filters! Last time3 uses out of it, I purchased one of these filters I got a bigger one and cut the used bottom off and sewing a new bottom back into the bag. I was able to filter almost 5 small batches of beeswax doing that. With this filter I might not be able to get more then 3 uses out of it but for the price I like this smaller one. The super small filtration this filter provided cleans the dirtiest wax!

I am using this filter as a pre-filter for my backpacking water filter. The dirty water is poured threw this filter into the dirty water bag filtering out the sediment and junk floating is the water. This saves the filter ( unit in my water filter ) from a lot of sediment and junk when the water is filtered threw it into my water bottles.

This bag not only filters out considerably more then the 200 micron bag, it looks exponentially better also. I use it in a freshwater and so its hanging up on top of my tank and so looks matter more then if it was a sump set up. While the other bags I have seen are a very fuzzy fabric this fabric is not fuzzy at all an instead looks just like normal shirt fabric, of course with a much tighter threading. Of course the down side is that with a tighter micron you have to clean it out more, but if you are not using it for a sump on a salt water you really won't seen that big of a differefence in flow rate change since there is less the filter out in freshwater.

I used this to remove mold spores from a tincture I made and i tested a sample of the tincture under a microscope to check that it removed the dead mold spores and I was thrilled to discover that in the whole sample, I only found 3 mold spores. No filter removes 100% of anything so the discovery of so few spores was exactly what i would have expected to find with a working filter.

While the filtering material is very effective the ring that supports the top of the bag will RUST! A big no-no. The manufacturer would have been a lot smarter if some form of plastic was used as the insert instead of the metal. Big problem, considering that these are supposed to filter things out and not add to the water or other liquid being filtered.

These filters have multiple uses besides filtering fuel. They are great filters for overflow pipes in aquariums. I use one in my aeroponics reservoir as a filter. I hang this from the inside of my tote and insert the pump intake into the filter bags. They work great for this. Aeroponic nozzles have very small orifices and are easy to clog. I recently cleaned mine after a year of use without any clogging. There was almost nothing inside the nozzle filters and what little there was was easily cleaned out. What little there was probably fell into the filter bag itself accidentally because 10 microns is very small considering a human hair is 40 microns thick. Highly recommended for aeroponics or even hydroponics. Cheap insurance against clogging.

Love this filter! We used it for a backyard maple syrup operation. In our last boil, we produced 2 gallons of maple syrup. We filtered the final boil through this filter into a smaller stock pot and then into the jars. It came out crystal clear! We started with the filter folded in half, and when it slowed down, I just unfolded it and let the syrup pour through the bottom half. It's easy to clean. Just turn it inside out and running water cleans it off. We liked it so much I just ordered another one!
