Smooth and delicious even after the third steep!
I was researching the best priced genmaicha on Amazon and came across this gem, absolutely impressed. This tea has all the notes of a perfect green tea matcha with brown rice. It's an ideal any time of day tea and you should get yourself a reusable tea steeper like the *Primula Brew Buddy Portable Pour Over, Reusable Fine Mesh Filter, Dishwasher Safe, Single Serve Coffee or Tea at Any Strength, Ideal for Travel or Camping, Red, 2-Pack* because this amazing tea can be steeped up to 3 times without getting bitter. Re-steep? Had no idea this was an option until I read the description for this product. One tablespoon of tea makes up to 60 oz of tea (3 tumblers of tea); just remember to steep a bit longer each time for full strength. Made a second steep yesterday, forgot about it and today it still wasn't bitter. Amazing. Comparable in taste to Ito En Genmaicha but less expensive and organic. This is one of those products where I took a chance on it and now I feel like I won the lottery. It could also be the caffeine talking, but you get the idea.

Excellent value - can't tell the difference from premium brands
I switched to Davidson's Tea Bulk Genmaicha from Harney & Sons, and I honestly can't tell the difference in quality or taste. At $0.87 per ounce compared to Harney & Sons at $1.95 per ounce, this is incredible value for the same great flavor.I've repurchased this several times now, which speaks to how satisfied I am with the quality and consistency. I usually mix two heaping tablespoons of the genmaicha with a heaping tablespoon of Assam to make a pitcher of iced tea, and it creates a perfect blend every time. The 16-ounce bag is a great size for regular tea drinkers, and the bulk packaging keeps costs down without sacrificing freshness. For anyone looking for quality genmaicha at a fraction of the cost of premium brands, this is an excellent choice. I'm definitely sticking with Davidson's going forward.

Nice distinctive flavor...may not be for everyone though
I am a tea girl. I try all kinds of tea...inexpensive and pricey...I love to try teas. This tea is quite unusual and may require you to get used to the taste. It does not taste like most green teas because of the toasted rice flavor. The rice flavor is a good compliment to the green tea and they have made a nice balance in this tea. The price is extremely good for the quantity. When I get through the bag I anticipate purchasing more.

Decent tea
It's decent tea but I've never had genmaicha before so I can't say if it's decent for genmaicha. It has a slightly savory taste with vegetal notes but also a little bit of toastiness. There was less flavor from the brown rice than I was expecting, maybe because most of the grains weren't popped. Overall it's a little weak. To get a good amount of flavor you need to use more, and that nullifies the low cost per weight.I like this tea but I doubt it's the best deal.

Genmaicha is decent
I am a green tea snob and usually order it direct from Japan. Recently, my husband started drinking all my green tea and it was costing me too much so I found this giant bag for such a good price. It's decent, not the best, but not the worst. It is not bitter at all but actually doesn't have much flavor, it might be a little old. The fact that it's organic too is a huge plus. I wish some of the rice was popped to get that "popcorn" flavor that some of the genmaicha's have.

Best flavor Genmaicha!
I have purchased this tea over and over again after trying multiple brands. This tea has the best roasted rice flavor that I crave. I was devastated when it was not available for a time. Tried another brand and immediately went back to Davidsons's when it came available.
