Great for 4-6 hours
This is an absolutely great product as long as you understand its limitations. The cushioning effect works very well to correct loose fitting dentures, especially if you are new to detures (less than six months) and they have not yet been relined. With Seabond pads you can talk freely and eat all but the toughest foods painlessly. The downside is that you can't wear a single pad for twelve hours; it becomes soggy and slimy so that its cushioning effect is diminished. About 4-6 hours is the maximum duration for me. And if I have a meal, even just coffee, I have to put in a new pad. This is because the pad is saturated with saliva, and any food flavors linger for at least an hour. Not pleasant. So, I simply use more pads, changing more frequently, to make them much more effective. They are fairly easy to change and they cost just 30 cents. I always swap out the pad after a meal or 4 hours if no meal. I always have a few pre-trimmed pads with me. Bottom line, I gave this product a 5-star review because, if you use it right, it is really great.

Highly recommended
My husband says these are very consistent durable worth the money and there’s no odor to stay in place the upper one you have to cut sometimes because it’s too big but otherwise they hold in place

Great idea
I love these so much. They work as good as adhesive but there’s no yucky glue to try to scrape off when you take out your dentures. So easy to fit and take out.

Don't use if you can't get a secure fit.
Denture shapes and sizes will determine if this product works better or at least as well as an adhesive such as Polygrip. It didn't for me but I suspect that my denture's shape, in order to give me a custom fit to the roof of my mouth, isn't a shape that works well with this seal. No matter how carefully I tried cutting them down to fit accurately to my upper denture, the seal would slip backwards on the denture as I'd chew my food. I even ended up swallowing the seal a couple of times with some food and it caused some brief, minor stomach upset. Sea-Bond offers a full refund if their product doesn't work for you but they take a very long time in doing that as I'm guessing not a lot of people have problems with it as I did or bother to take them up on their full refund offer. They eventually returned my $6 but there were a lot of questions they wanted me to respond to, as if I misused the product. I didn't appreciate feeling interrogated by them but I responded honestly telling them I followed their instructions to the letter! In my opinion, denture adhesive pastes are a better choice if they don't upset your stomach which also happened to me with using Polygrip, as well as Fixodent: a distinct laxative effect.

Better than tube gel denture paste
These require cutting the seals to fit the size of the denture, which of course, varies. The seals require some doing-- cutting, dampening the seal, pressing it to conform to the denture surface-- to complete. The denture must then be pressed into the gums and held for a full minute, perhaps two minutes to secure. When removing the denture, the seal is gummy and sticky and requires care to remove and discard. Do not flush the used seal; discard it in trash. Not sure how environmentally safe these are either. Even so, I prefer these to the tube gel paste, which oozes out between denture and gum and is a time-consuming mess to clean off of denture and gums. Price is competitive.

Glue is okay
Glue works well except for steak, crispy breads and the like. It causes the denture to shift. I use a little Fixodent on the denture then press the liner for extra support and it works awesome

They work
So it took a little getting use to and figuring them out to work correctly. I , 51 female have upper dentures do to an accident when I was a kid. Suffered many years trying to keep my teeth but lost the battle. My denture fit at first but over time needed adjusting. However the one person I went to shaved off way too much and I was in a lot of pain and they didn’t stay in. I had an assistant show me the best way to apply poligrip and that worked. However I felt my dentures were still causing a lot of pain and pushing up on the roof of my mouth so badly I couldn’t keep them in. So I started trying this product. Instantly the pain went away and they stayed in. However they did not work well when I wanted to eat. And sometime they were loose and didn’t hold well. I was trimming them down to, what I thought, was fitting my mouth better. The directions say, do not over saturate,,, well how the hell do you do that when you need to wet them!!! Over time I have learned,,, I do not need to trim the sides only the length. The flat part that goes to the back of the mouth. I leaned to dry the dentures very well before placing the pink side down onto the denture. The pink side is went the top side just damp. I run a very small stream of water and wet the pink side. I make sure the side of the pad go up the inside of the denture. Some times I have to push the pad down or up or back what ever. To make it fit where I want it. Make sure there are no bubble. There is play time to adjust. The front part dose over lap sometimes depends on if I am in a rush but it doesn’t make a difference if it does or doesn’t. Once I put them in a clap my jaw down for a bit. The wear time is not super long.. Sometimes I can where them all day and over night but mostly I change them after I eat. If I have had them in for a while when I eat, the pad slide and I feel the pad going past the denture into the back of my mouth. Or food getting stuck up in there. So I try to change them at least once a day sometimes twice. BUT I would much rather deal with this that trying to scrap poligrip out of the denture and out of my mouth. I find that disgusting!! I use poligrip in the event that I might be going out with friends for a long evening But I have started putting a pre cut pad in my purse so I can alway run to a bathroom and change it. Super easy!! Worth trying if you don’t like the gunk in your mouth like me!
