Perfect replacement for failing unit aboard my boat at a much lower cost than at my local marine store.

Easy installation
After several months of being installed, still function and operates perfectly

Same metal part breaks over time.
These are nice, but Ive had a few break over time and it isn't the plastic parts that are failing, it's one forged metal part inside that breaks off, as seen in photo (same break three times now). For such an expensive item, you would think is would be of a better material.

The productquality is good. However shipping and import fees from America to Europe are substantial

Exactly what we needed; replacing same one that is 35 years old on a boat.
Husband installed it without difficulty. Even works backwards. Original one was installed backwards but the door still stays closed when it is supposed to and opens easily. It is not symmetrical so it had to be installed the same way in order to use the same cuttings in the door and the frame.
