Best GPU
Great product, It ran exceptionally on my current set up without any hassle setting it up. Especially for its price, its definitely great for value per performance. Ive had this 5080 for a while now and there is no sag or damage, it is incredible durable. With the pure power you are getting from this graphics card, the quality is incredible and it just looks so good. I was able to run many game at 4k resolution at over 60 fps, definitely a bang for its buck.

Excellent performance but premium price
At time of writing I’ve had this GPU for around 6 months. Performance wise, it’s fantastic. For context, I play at 5120x1440, 144Hz and with DLSS, it maintains that refresh rate when playing Cyberpunk 2077 with maxed settings (except path tracing) and the GPU isn’t even maxed out. I’ve also tried Ghost of Tsushima and likewise, gameplay is smooth throughout without sacrificing visual fidelity. Even with DLSS off, performance is great. When running flat out, there is a fair bit of fan noise, which is to be expected but I’ve found it to be easy to drown out (even with a simple set of earbuds without any noise canceling). The sound isn’t overly high pitched which also helps. If I was being nitpicky, for the price it’d be nice to have 24GB of VRAM, (particularly for future proofing) which is something that AMD’s offerings within this bracket provide. But so far, 16 has been more than enough. If you’re looking for pure value for money, there may be better options out there, but all things considered I don’t regret getting this one. The 12VHPWR connector across this whole generation of GPUs is known to have issues, but so far I have not experienced any. If you’re gonna invest in a card like this, it’s definitely worth taking the time to research and pick a good PSU. I’m running a 1000W model which is certified to ATX 3.1 standard and so far it’s been smooth sailing. The only other thing I’d mention is to take your time and make sure the power connector is seated fully. I’d never done it before and it took quite a bit of force to make sure it was all the way in. There is an anti-sag bracket included in the box which has been brilliant and was easy to set up. It’s a large GPU for sure, so make sure whatever case you try to fit it into has enough room.

Power house of a GPU snapped up at a bargain price
So far, so good with this beast of a card. Thanks to Amazon resale, picked it up for roughly £300 cheaper than retail price and it's a proper power house. It's a tight fit in my Hyte Y-60 case, but fit it does. Temps are fine running no more than 65-70c during demanding games and sync's up well with my Aorus B850 mobo. Ease to install, just make sure you have at least 1k PSU and it looks superb with customisable lights and LCD display, which worked out of the box. You can upload your own images too but in a Y60, my card is vertical mounted so I rarely see the display. Once I get a bigger case, I will take full advantage of OC but right now the performance is blistering

Faulty card, returned by 6 different people already
Whilst it arrived on time unfortunately when it did the driver was struggling for a couple of minutes to hand it over saying the system had the item listed as being returned 6 times already. Instant red flag but I thought maybe it was just an error in the systems or something. Packaging was fine etc then installed it and oh dear, artifacting in windows all over, black flickering and random crashes after a few minutes or less. Managed to install new drivers on my third boot but unfortunately this didn’t fix and maybe even made it worse with even more crashes. My guess is that it was a defective card which happens but I unfortunately don’t trust gigabyte to send a working one so shall be ordering a different brand. Don’t know why they kept sending this faulty card out multiple times to different people and nobody caught it so they definitely need to improve their quality control. Not my first time having problems with entry level gigabyte products so I would probably spend a little extra instead of going with these or else beware you have a bit of pot luck with what arrives.

Don’t touch if you’re on 4000 series
Very grateful to have managed to snag one of these at a reasonable price. I come up from an RTX 3080 which is still more than serviceable, but the 5080 met exactly what I was looking for in great 4K performance. Runs everything and anything you’d expect to a great standard (as long as you’re willing to fiddle with settings here and there). The Gigabyte software for overclocking is great, and this card has ENORMOUS headroom for stable overclocks if that’s your jam. Very happy with it overall. It’s a bit saddening that it doesn’t beat the 4090 most of the time, however in terms of power efficiency it gets very close and is staggeringly less power intensive. If you’re on 4000 series at all, hold fire. I’d wait for either Supers or even 6000s. But otherwise, any older? You can’t really go wrong with it.

Good 5080 gpu
The Gpu looks great and performs well providing high fps natively especially at 1440p. The card is silver and white which pairs fantasticly with my gigabyte ice motherboard. The cards SFF (small form factor) means it's not a huge over sized card. It's same thickness as the 4070 I upgraded from which is perfect size for my pc build. Wether the size has any bearing on performance I'm unsure but the card has a cooling chamber which is why it's able to be a slim card. Paired with my amd ryzen 7 9800x3d I get about 220fps natively (no frame gen) on average in games such as Battlefield 6. Being a 5000 series means Nvidia have released the Dlss 4.5 which when enabled renders image at lower resolution and upscale upto 1440p - 4k and increases fps nearly doubling the fps. The improvement over the 4000 series cards is probably about 10-15% so not a huge jump but is more future proof and the entry level for 4k Gaming with 5090 being the true 4k card. Great card and very happy with it. Would give 5* if only it wasn't so expensive.

The best 5080 AIB model available
This GPU delivers excellent performance: full ROPs and absolutely zero issues. With 16GB of VRAM, it's ideal for my AI work, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Noise levels are impressive too. The fans are virtually silent, and the zero-RPM mode ensures complete silence during idle or low-intensity tasks. Installation was straightforward, and the value for money is fantastic. I only paid £950, making it an unbeatable deal. Highly recommended!
