Excellent support
Bought these as a gift for my dad's birthday and he loves them. They are true to size and fit him perfectly. He often needs additional insoles added, but these ones are so supportive and comfortable that he can wear them as is. The design is simple and looks good, with the all black uppers and white bottoms. The laces are long enough and have held up well. The have good grip, offering traction and added support, while being very lightweight. I will definitely order another pair for him in the future.

Glad I bought them!
I got these based on a recommendation for running on concrete and light gravel, and I am replacing very old Saucony running shoes (as I try to get back into jogging again). I have never once owned a pair of red shoes before, but my oldest son is much more adventuress then I am, and I wanted to match his red shoes! All of that to say, these things are awesome! They're much lighter then my old tennis shoes, and it feels like I'm walking on bubble wrap (in a good way.) I was nervous about the sizing, but they were true to my last pair and fight perfectly. I took them out for a run this morning, and my calves feel so much better than prior recent runs with my old worn out sneakers. I'm not a shoe expert, but I really think these were a very good value!

Comfortable, Supportive, and Great Value
I’ve been wearing the Saucony Men’s Guide 18 running sneakers for a couple of years now, and they’ve been excellent. They’re extremely comfortable and versatile enough for both everyday wear and running. I have fallen arches, and these shoes completely eliminated the calf pain I used to get when running, which was a huge improvement for me. The support and stability are spot on without feeling stiff or heavy. They’re also very durable — mine have held up well over time — and the price makes them an outstanding value for the quality you’re getting. I would absolutely buy them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, supportive running shoe.

Fantastic fit - but wear out too quickly
Update April 2025: I am disappointed that around the 5 month mark, the mesh upper in the big toe area is developing a hole. I always wear socks and I am not a runner so it’s really disappointing that this hole has started. I’ll have to rethink my next purchase because at this price point (for a non runner) - I would think the upper would be much more durable. I have to take it down a star. The rest of my original review stands. Original review: Been struggling a couple of years with foot pain and numbness in ball of feet and then recently a toe started hurting too. Almost like a hammertoe. I was using an inexpensive shoe from that popular brand that uses the memory foam insoles for the past couple of years. They are extra wide or 4E. The problem with these shoes are the memory foam insole becomes flat quickly (not good as I have flat feet), and the shoes also have a high “drop” which is problematic. The uppers on these cheap shoes are also not very flexibly to allow for toes to wiggle and the soles are not very “cushy”. The high drop (12mm) causes the foot to always shift toward the front of the shoe essentially jamming the toes into the toe box area constantly. These Saucony shoes remedy all those issues! The 4e is nice and wide, flexible upper with toe wiggle room, medium drop of 6mm, good quality insole and cushy sole but not super bouncy like some premium brands. My feet feel better after two days in these! Shoes do matter! And note that doing research on why wide and extra wide sizes are so much harder to find I found that a great percent of buyers actually buy medium but need a wide. Which translates to lower demand for wider sizes! Do yourself a favor and get your foot measured (running shoe stores are best) before you “run” into foot problems like I did from too narrow a shoe for too many years!

Now my favorite walking shoe.
I have previously rated the Brooks Ghost series as my favorite. But I had a problem. I have a 13 EE foot and in that size and width Brooks has few color choices. So I asked the Grok AI platform what would be another choice for me. They suggested three Saucony models. The other two Saucony were good but the Guide was great. I'm elderly and want something soft for striking the ground, and stable. I want good comfort. The Guide 18's were a 10 across the board. But the best part - they offer some nice colors. I bought the white, pictured, and people have commented on how nice they look.

Most comfortable tennis shoes in my 50 years!!
I'm 50 years old and can say that these tennis shoes are the most comfortable I have ever owned. I had never worn Saucony brand shoes until I purchased a pair at a store last fall. They were super comfortable when I tried them on and remained that way even after wearing them for several months and that includes me getting on the treadmill three or four days a week and knocking out a quick couple miles. I was so happy with that pair I did not hesitate to purchase this pair online and they too have been amazingly comfortable whether walking or jogging. When these begin to wear out I will be buying another pair.

Great fit, very supportive, soles are not made to last.
(while taking pictures for this review I saw how bad the wear is on the soles hence my nice words but 1 star.) I got these after an article I read said they were really good for people who overpronate. (I have what appears to be a lovely arch. Complete fricken collapse, I have the flattest of flat feet) I had started trying to walk, and between crap arches, the shoes direly needing to be tightened, and my trying to walk fast by stepping further, I got shin splints. Not wanting to be deterred, I did some poking around and landed on these. And I love them. Before I got these I got some better inserts for my other shoes, and they do make a difference, but man, after wearing these, even the better arches in those feel weak. I feel so much more secure in these shoes. I only wear them when walking though. (Partly so I don't have to change them as often, partly cause I'm disabled, so kizicks are more my speed) I would wear them all the time if not for wanting to not have to change them out too often. I can't afford the recommended change as is, so. But they just feel so good on my foot. My arch feels so supported, they don't feel too hard, but not too soft. Speaking of, due to them needing to fit well, do be prepared for the joy of the weird way the laces are, laced. It's a bit of a pain loosening them to get them on (almost even off) but again, I'm spoiled and used to slipping my shoes on and off. Laces are nice and long. Too long even. I loosely double lace them so I don't step on them while walking. Tops are a thick mesh so breathable. And if they get wet, so will your feet. They are, of course, on the expensive side, in my opinion. But I paid this much for my kizicks as well (I'd say there was a gimmick I was paying for there, but I'm paying for really good support here, as well as them being walking/running shoes) With stupid times comes stupid prices. And honestly, considering some of the prices you see looking around at athletic shoes, these are cheap. So I'd say, super limited budget aside, that these are a great deal. Took some pictures to show the cat damage and the basic wear on the shoes and I dunno, does that wear seem excessive for having had the shoes for, oof. Less than a month? That's. Bad. Tee hee, there go all the stars I was giving these. Jeeze. That's bad. I'd love these shoes if the soles weren't apparently made of foam caulk.

Excellent
Great balance of support/stability/cushion. This isn't the lightest shoe and probably best used for jogs or walking but fantastic build and quality.

Calidad y comodidad..

Great Fit
I've had Saucony Guides for over a dozen years. They always been terrific. My last ones lasted for over 3000 km - mind you, I was jogging/fast walking on a soft, spongy indoor track. My new ones felt a bit stiff for the first two weeks but now they feel just fine. They fit great.
