I purchased this item for my inspection business. The is a very high quality moisture meeter and capable to generating quantitative results. The instruction manual is very clear as English is the native language of the manufacturer. On the expensive side, but worth it. You get what you pay for.

The Protometer SurveyMaster is truly the industry gold standard for water damage inspection, mitigation and restoration. I have used the older model for many years as my primary moisture meter, and would take it over any other meter I have ever used. The survey master coupled with the Tramex Moisture encounter plus for masonry and concrete will have covered for just about any situation you could find yourself in. I love the larger screen and dry standard reference mode this new meter has, and the fact it uses AAs instead of 9v fixed the only complaint I have ever had with this meter. This is the only invasive/non- invasive combo meter i will ever keep in my kit, Protometer has my business for life

Seems to be quite innacurate. Went side by side with my marine surveyor and I would read dry while his was singing. Then I would ping and his would read dry. It seems this may be reading too deep and im picking up tanks and other areas of the boat when I only need to be reading a 1/2" in or so. Debating on selling and buying another product.

This is one of the best moisture meters I’ve ever used.

The product’s easy of use and multi functionality is quite good. One thing I don’t see to much is it gives you a sort of notification when it wants to be recalibrated which is a nice touch. Moisture meters definitely aren’t something to cheap out on and this was a good buy for professional use.

Great service

I’ve purchased several of these moisture meters over the past decade. I’ve not had any issues with the previous models but this newest one has let me down. I recently purchased 4 of them for members on my team. While the pin features seem to be accurate all the time, the surface readings have been off. One of the meters we have registers elevated while all the others do not. Very unpredictable and inaccurate. Today, I had dry readings on a known leak (ceiling drywall) and my partners read elevated. Very inconsistent surface readings. Just don’t seem to be the same quality product I’ve been used to over the past decade. I’d much rather spend less on a pin type meter, and purchase tramex surface meter than to drop 7-8 hundred on a tool that leaves me and my inspectors questioning what’s going on.

As a home inspector……not sure why it took me so long to get this tool. Simply the best.
