The best product this short gal ever purchased. Worked a charm. My only problem was not being able to see the socket when replacing the bulb. But with a little bit of poking around and it was in. Just remember, righty tightly, lefty loosy. 😉

Purchased this product to address one light that hangs over a stairway and is unreachable to change the bulb. The stairway is enclosed and does not get much natural light. I always check reviews from reliable sources when considering what brand to choose, as well as checking out amazon customer reviews. This brand and model seemed to come up repeatedly as one of the better products. Well, though it's packaging left lots to be desired (took me days to get it open), the product itself worked perfectly for me! I did enlist a second person to help but that's because the light itself was twisting when we would turn the bulb. Used a cheap dollar store grabber to solve that problem. Worth every cent so I can have light in that stairway. Now if I could only find bulbs that aren't LED (worst idea ever). . .

The took me a while to figure out how to use. I was afraid of breaking a bulb and glass showing down. I practiced fitting bulbs inside the attachments to see how much force one should use to properly remove a bulb. After that it was easy. Good tool for high ceiling bulb removal.

I have an 18' high ceiling with 4 can lights installed. My can lights have a retractable, spring loaded frame around them. I was a little concerned about the frame being pulled down while using this product and was a little hesitant about ordering. I have to say that my concerns were unfounded when I used this product, It worked flawlessly. I had all of my bulbs changed out in about ten minutes. This product ships well packaged and is so easy to use. I am 6' tall and like I said my ceilings are 18', So I was able to change from the floor without the use of a ladder. My arms were extended but not fully. When you place the cup on the bulb there is a slight, reassuring snap that the bulb is secured. Very easy, well designed, works great. I highly recommend.

Without any doubt this is the worst product I have ever purchased from Amazon in 20 years. No part of this thing works on any bulb sold by Amazon. A regular incandescent bulb it will not hold because the suction cup is totally flat and will not grip anything except a completely flat object. No rounded bulbs can be held by this. The gripper heads meant to grip larger bulbs do not work because they have engineered some kind of blue fingers meant to grip the bulb but which keep you from using it on any bulb other than a completely flat fronted bulb. No rounded bulbs of any size can be gripped by this device. This is the worst rip off and the worst engineered product I have ever seen. Other reviews on Amazon must be corrupted somehow, DO NOT BUY.

I have a ceiling fan lights 13ft up. Even with a 8’ ladder I wasn’t able to get them without some help. That is where the Unger universal light changer tool came in. 3 of 4 bulbs were out. On the first bulb, the end broke. Making it that much more challenging to remove. Thankfully by removing all the parts, there are 2 triangular teeth that I managed to get the bulb rotating. Upon reinstall, I found that my CFL’s were smaller than any of the side grips would work with. So I just let the bulb rest and be supported on the sides and use the blue center rubber portions to re-insert the bulb. Took some time and finesse, but heck of a better than going into the attic and lowering the fan/light from the hand crank. Happy with the purchase.

The main thing I purchased this for was to replace standard-sized LED dusk to dawn bulbs above my door, and above my garage. The price for this device included the extension pole, so it seemed like this was the best value. However, it could not grip well enough to rotate the bulb out. The grabber device is plastic, there is no rubber on the tips that can grip. To solve this issue I used a "Garbage Gripper" large-sized rubber band and weaved it in and out of the grabber device for the standard-sized bulbs. It doesn't look pretty, but it worked like a charm. See the three pics above to see what I did. I only gave it three stars because they really need to add rubber to the grabber tips for a five-star rating.

This item is excellent for reaching the unreachable bulbs. I have purchased several different brands but ended up with the Lupar brand. It worked well for my project to change bulbs outside my dental office. Great choice.
