Product works great but the directions are absolutely horrible. Something as simple as switching this from Fahrenheit to Celsius is about a 15 step process. I ended up having to watch a video on Youtube to figure it out, the directions it comes with doesn't even mention how to do it so I am glad I was able to find a video on it. I used this to replace an analog thermostat that went bad in a commercial fridge at my bakery. This will require a neutral wire (analog thermostat only had a hot wire). I was able to splice into the light inside the fridge and steal the neutral from there instead of trying to fish a new line into the fridge. Device works great and I highly recommend it over a standard analog thermostat - this gives you a much more precise level of control (you are actually able to set the cut-in and cut-out temperature). So if you can get this thing installed/follow a video on how to use it, I would highly recommend this product.

I didn't get this for a Carel fridge so I can't say if it would work for one. The controller was easy to install and it seems to do what it should. I suspect it would work fine for what it's intended for.
