Kit4Cat 2lb Hydrophobic Litter at Home Cat Urine Sample Collection Kit 1 bag

Our cat seemed to not even entertain the idea of using any of the other bead-like urine sample collection litters, but she took to this one almost immediately and without any fuss. The urine was very easy to collect after, as it pooled on top of the litter. Easy to clean, too. Also, importantly, there is enough of it to cover the whole tray area, in case your cat is fussy about there being enough litter in the tray. It seems expensive, but considering it contains three bags of it, it's actually quite comparable in price to the seemingly cheaper ones which only come in one small bag, roughly of similar quantity to 1/3 of the total you'll get from this.

First things first, yes it's expensive for what you get. You may need a couple bags. Our vet gave us a tiny bag of plastic pellets, which absolutely was not fooling Coco, and out of desperation we bought a bag of this litter. We bulked it up with the pellets, had to supervise him for a while since he has a track record of peeing elsewhere when his litter is changed, and once he finally swallowed his disdain enough to use the litter tray... it worked perfectly. The urine was nicely pooled on top and incredibly easy to collect. Coco didn't like it, which is his fault, but the litter itself did exactly what it was meant to do, highly recommended for desperate owners.

Great product. Very easy to use

In the past when a urine sample has been needed, I used the vet provided hydrophobic beads, but this was very stressful as my cat did NOT like it and spent hours clearly needing to go, but sniffing the tray, hopping in, hopping out, and eventually very reluctantly going. So based on the reviews I thought I'd try this. Quantity: Unless you have a tiny litter tray, you'll likely need to use at least 2 x 300g bags, which is what I did, and that will only provide you a very thin layer across most of a standard litter tray. Quality of Litter: Very good, and does what it needs to (stays separate from the urine). Use: My cat used it on first try with no objections! Pipettes: Small but functional. Sample vials: This is why I have not given 5 stars. The vials are fine, but the stopper (not screw cap style) just keep wanting to pop out, slowly lifting further and further out of the vial, which makes both stoppers and vials useless unless you have someone to hold them in place until you get to the vet (not likely). I was incredibly lucky that I had a spare screw top vial from last year, because otherwise I had no idea what I would have done. Very expensive, but despite the vial issue, overall worth it, especially if it's okay to re-use the litter I saved for next time (I'm going to check with the vet).

This product took just over the 28 days to arrive so was about to request a refund and order more when it did arrive. As it was to check a poorly cat's urine that wasn't very good. However the actual product when it arrived was excellent. I had expected just 1 bag of litter and to be rooting found for some to put the urine in but it was 3 separate sachets of litter and 3 pipettes and test tubes with stoppers. Really easy to use. Cat preferred it to the other gel balls type non-absorbant cat litter.

Very limited quantity for the high price of the product. I measured the bag and it was only 1.4 lbs to start with and definitely not enough for my cat to be interested in using this. Complete waste of money.

My elderly cat is recovering from hyperthyroidism treatment which needs 3 follow up urine samples. She hates litter trays but needs must! I didn't let her go out as usual before bed and, within 10 mins of locking her in a room with her tray, she'd used it. Comes with 3 handy pipettes and sample tubes. Happy me and happy kitty who was then free to roam the house. I bought two bags not knowing what to expect. There are 3 small bags within the outer wrapping, I used all 3 small bags (1 outer) which gave about 1cm of coverage, enough for purpose for my cat but if you've got a deep digger, buy at least two. As she'd wet in one corner, I saved the majority of the untouched sand and rebagged it for next time, discarding the part she'd used. Too expensive to waste!

This is an awesome product. We have been using Pretty litter and when it indicated blue meaning possible urinary tract infection we phoned the vet. They explained we could find a product such as this to collect a sample for them to test. They explained it is a much more difficult process in the office as one of my cats is shall we say aggressive with the vet. So we tried another product first which I'm sure works fine for some but my cats wouldn't use it as it looked and felt nothing like cat litter. So round 2 I found this product and it seemed to fix the issues I was having. I set up a small litter box and separated my cats they each had a turn. I was amazed this product feels and looks like sand but let me tell you it acts very different. It was amazing the cats jumped right in they can't resist a fresh litter box. The urine sits perfectly on top and was extremely easy to collect and put in the sample tube. I labeled and placed the samples in the fridge to bring to the vet in the morning. Once at the vet it only took them around 15 minutes to process the samples. We found that our little boy Romeo had a mild bladder infection. We caught it early so a bit of antibiotics and a food change and we were good to go. I will be using this product exclusively anytime I am concerned with my pets health. It is such an easy and affordable process. I just want to thank the makers of this amazing medical tool.

Ich habe einige Katzenstreu(Uringewinnung) ausprobiert, die Katze mochte weder die Konsistenz noch den Geruch. Nachdem ich regelmäßig den Katzen-Urin untersuchen lassen muss, bin ich über das Produkt SUPER glücklich!!!!!! Problemlose Uringewinnung....sofort nochmal bestellt:) Danke Julia

Demorou pra chegar porque vem de fora, mas funciona muito bem. Meu gato não fazia xixi de jeito nenhum sem a areia na caixa e esse foi o único jeito de conseguir coletar a urina sem ter que fazer extração diretamente na bexiga. A areia não absorve a urina e vc retira com uma seringa. No pacote já vem tudo inclusive o recipiente pra levar a urina ao veterinário.

尿一回だけなら確かに取れるけどそれ以降は使えない。一回分と考えるとリピはできない。 砂の様なので猫には好評。
