Their are 4 color options available which are the scents, on a desktop they are right below the price.

Can I (and if, how) can I travel with this best on a plane?

Yes, the unit can be in your carry on luggage. It is not allowed in any checked bags. The best way to travel with the unit is to remove the cartridge. Always verify this with your airlines before arriving at the airport, just in case alllowed carry on items have changed.
