Impressive subwoofer!
I used this subwoofer to replace a Rockford Fosgate P3SD2-8, which in turned replaced the OEM Bose subwoofer. The RF subwoofer was a great improvement over the Bose and the Bose amplifier was able to drive it well. However, the RF sub had less power than what I wanted and the front woofers were overtaking it. I decided to acquire the Audison APS-8D. And when I installed it using the small Bose sub amp, it was very underwhelming. I suspected the Bose sub amp wasnโt doing a good job at driving the sub. I replaced the sub amp with a Toro-Tech MR2 and the Audison sub came to life. With the appropriate sub amp settings, this subwoofer is superb. Great punch and sensitivity. As you can see in the photo, I used the same OEM box with a 1/2โ spacer.
