S70TY 400W 3.1.1 Channel Dolby Atmos, Center Up-Firing, Wow Orchestra Soundbar with HDMI, USB & Bluetooth Connectivity (Black)

Lovely product as expected

Theater experience. Glad I chose this product. Value for money.

The product works Flawlessly and it was a old stock of 2024 sent by the seller. I had to connect it with LG Soundbar application to get it software updated. After that I was able to use LG ThinQ application. Only Difference between S70TY and SQ70TY is for extra 2k you get QNED TV Soundbar brackets. The Surround Experience is good on LG TV it supports Dolby Atmos. Pass through works good, but once you shift to Airtel Setup Box on pass through it supports 5.1 Dolby Content but not Atmos. If you play any downloaded content on MX Player on Airtel the rear speakers only passes background music no dialogues were passed. The rear speakers felt useless so had to turn off Dolby Support and Surround Support. After turning it off can hear dailogues it in PCM mode. Content looses vocal quality and it feels like watching on TV speakers. We can increase the Bass & Subwoofer level. Even we can increase centre and rear speakers level. After increasing the level to max the vocal and Bass effect increases. It is a hit and miss, Sometimes it works so great that even my Ceiling and Windows Vibrate and sometimes it feels just like I'm Using TV speakers. It is a good option under 30k to experience Dolby Atmos and with Pass through Support. We get Pass through only above 50k or in some chinese soundbars. Instead of spending on Chinese Soundbars, LG is way better than others in this price range. 1 Star deducted for the service experience. Otherwise it is a complete package! I have purchased SPT8-S from LG India Official website. They delivered me a different product that is SQ70TY. So I purchased another LG SPT8-S twice. After few days LG Warehouse and LG India team promised me refund after returning the product. So I returned both the products LG SQ70TY & LG SPT8-S to the delivery agent. Received the refund after 15 days after so many followups and escalations. LG have the worst customer service in the world. After contacting them dozens of times on LG customer care number they shamelessly just put customer on mute or hold for the whole time. This shows how good their customer service is, they are just testing customers patience. Hope I never need LG Service Again!

Worth the Price!!!

Best soundbar at this price range. I bought this offline for 21k in festival offer days. Dolby atmos works perfectly experience is much impressive. The loudness, clarity of vocals, perfect bass for all content category is on point and no complaints. You can control the bass, treble, Equalizer and tune the soundbar as per your preference through its remote or LG soundbar application on your mobile. I didnt find any soundbar matching the performance of this LG S70TY at this price range. This soundbar is King of the budget in all areas. It sounds great through bluetooth and even better through hdmi earc.

Not happy

Before you set this up download the LG app to your phone. It makes the whole set up and personal adjustments so much easier. That said, it was pretty much plug and play after that. No issues at all with connectivity. Sub woofer connected in about 20 seconds. Sounds fantastic. Yeah its no 7.1.3 but really sounds fantastic! The WOW setting sounds pretty damn good channeling my IPod touch for music. Companioned to my LG 55" QNED 80. Kinda mad at myself I waited a year to get this. Center upfiring speaker really makes dialog clear plus tweaking on the phone app I can kick up the bass and make the room rumble. Love it! I hardly ever use the included remote since my tv remote covers all choices I need to make. Sounds better than my brothers Bose sound bar that he paid more for & that didn't include a subwoofer. I never thought for less than $300 it would sound this good.

Very load and clear sound

Has a much more full and booming sound compared to my old LG stereo soundbar. Voices are much easier to hear and I don’t struggle as much with trying to find the “right volume” anymore. Finally being able to use Dolby Atmos is nice as well - maybe not as dramatic of an effect without the rear speakers, but still fills the room nicely. I would recommend turning LG’s “AI Sound Pro” OFF - with it on, I found it to be really inconsistent, even when calibrating it with my LG C4 - it was usually lacking bass and making voices sound thin. I suspect this setting is why some complain about the lack of bass on this soundbar/subwoofer. The bass sounds HUGE when you turn AI Sound Pro off, trust me. Using the Standard or Cinema presets makes it sound how I would expect across all content. The Auto Volume feature is a good one to turn on if you don’t want to have to crank the volume way up, and does a good job normalizing the volume, no matter what I’m watching. Really nice upgrade overall and didn’t break the bank!

Overall I'm really happy with the performance from this soundbar. I replaced a 10 year old poor sounding Yamaha soundbar for whatever that is worth. I have this paired with a 65" LG C5 OLED. It adds a ton of bass over what just the TV speakers would be. It fills our 12x20 livingroom with pristine highs, punchy mids and really great bass considering it's a smaller sub. I had also purchased LG S80TY but after hooking the 70 up first I was more than satisfied and that move also save me $200. The sub on the 80 was substantially larger and it also has 3 uprising speakers instead of just 1. If you are needing a Soundbar for an extremely large space you may need the 80 but for average Joe's I think the 70 will more than fill the bill, especially for under $300. The only con I have found so far is that some channels (ESPN in particular) give you a tinny sound poor sound for when certain broadcasts are on and I'm using the soundbar. I just change from the WOW ORCHESTRA back to TV speakers and things are fine. Not sure why this is but a friend of mine with a SONOS soundbar said he sometimes gets similar issues.

Snagged this soundbar for a steal, and honestly, it's a total win! The value for the price is incredible, and the audio quality is just fantastic. It's especially awesome for listening to commentary – really makes the voices pop. I can finally hear every detail without straining. Definitely recommend this if you're looking for an upgrade without breaking the bank!
