Sony PlayStation 2 Console - Black

Arrived early. Reads games, but reads them almost instantly with console horizontal. Vertical, maybe a minute or three to read but aways works. Probably read games vertical when new while the disc pedestal was a bit more grippy? Could easily replace the pedestal. Inside there is a weight in a white plastic spacer thing, which looks like it uses gravity to help keep the disc down on the pedestal. Could be the laser motor doesn't like vertical anymore, but leaning towards the weighted spacer because discs don't "snap" on in this style of console like a Ps1 where you have to press the disc down its pedestal and it actually snaps tightly. I'm thinking running horizontal really helps the weight thing do its job after the pedestal is less grippy after 100yrs of use lol. Like a second helping hand. Came with all necessary components in excellent condition. Console/controller buttons work. Memory cards read. Opened it up and appears to have been cleaned. Bit overpriced. Finally I can play one of my favorite games! AVP Extinction

Package showed up packaged very well. Once connected everything powered up properly. And the games I have for it worked perfectly. Very pleased with this purchase.

did not come with dualshock controller. came with a knockoff. other than that the console is great!

Well....though it plays my games, it freezes sometimes stalling game play. Also, the Playstation was missing pieces. It did what it needed.

The console came a little scratched but it worked great nonetheless. The controller came in excellent condition, the power cable was also in good condition. However, the cable for the video connection came a little folded (the metal from the white video connection), however I fixed it. The thing is, this console came in a good quality. Now I can play my favorite ps2 games, like traveling back to the past. Thank you Sosa games!

Arrived actually looking very clean and no major defects. Tried to open disc tray and would not fully open before jamming. The included controller is not a dual shock it is some cheap unlabeled knockoff. I asked for a replacement and will update my review when I get it. Update: Got my new package in. PS2 looks even better than the last one and the disc tray works. The fan is very loud on this one though. Once again they did not include the controller. At this point I’ll just take the loss. Would not recommend.
