Wheat Grass Seed 1lb - Guaranteed to Grow

This stuff is wonderful! I have about a quarter of my aquaponics dedicated to this and it grows INCREDIBLY fast. Sprouts in about three days and grows well over 6" pretty quick. We are on our second rotation in the system, barely a third of way through this bag and everything grows well. Pet people - I chose this kind because works for human smoothies and for indoor cats during winter. The cats love it and have stopped chewing on any other house plants. Ironically, the little dog has also decided that she really really needs some grass as well and will often beg for me to get her some. (She is weird though and thinks carrots are greatest treat ever.) I will be dedicating more space to this in future, so that we can use it in more smoothies. The only con was the shipping. This plastic bag just in a big ol cardboard box with other stuff and it got beat up. Had a hole in bag, but only lost a few dozen seeds into the box.

Ok no green thumb here. I did as another reviewer suggested doing. I soaked the seeds(about 1/2 bag), drained and let sit for 8 hours and repeated one more time. I planted in organic soil in a kitty box(this is for my kitty so no pesticides), and kept it indoors with no directed sun for 2 days. I spray bottled the soil 2x's a day to keep moist but not soaked. The picture attached is after 2 days inside and 3 days outside(still not in direct sun). Just moved to sunny area for the kitty. I will update review after a couple days in the sun and how my cat liked it. Kitty totally loves his grass. I have actually had to cut it twice.

My indoor cat loves this wheat grass. It is long growing and has helped her digestion greatly. I am sure those who make smoothies will appreciate the quality as well. but package is large and only it appears that all the seeds sprout! but one small container lasts about a month ! this is a money save as regular cat grass lasts may a couple of weeks and there is no guarantee the seeds will sprout.

I have been buying these seeds for years for my cat. I use organic potting from Jungle Growth. Always grows, now how I keep it alive is up to me lol I have tried various containers over the years, and that seemed to affect how well it continued to grow or if my drainage sucked and I grew a pot of mold with the grass, sometimes I wondered if my lighting times were off when the season changed, stuff like that. Truly my cat loves it, and this has thus far been the best container for her, as she likes to sometimes sit in it. Happy Gardening!

After three months the bag was infested with weevils and the seed damaged to the point they would not germinate. I did not have this problem in the first bag I purchased. I only use a bag a year to grow grass for pets. I cannot say if the weevils were in the original bag or infested it after I purchased it. I am only relating my experience. Again this did not happen with my first bag.

I'm not an indoor plant person at all, I once managed to kill 3 cactus'. I've stuck to the couple things I can garden outside. I let my cat out in my yard a couple times a day. I feel bad for him in the winter because there's no grass for him to play on/with. I got sick of paying $8 everytime I went to the pet store for grass so I gave this a try. My only minor complaint is there's no directions. For most of you green thumbers, that's probably not a problem. For me I learn the hard way My first batch I just put the seeds in my pan and covered them with dirt. Two days later I didn't see any growth. So I asked Mr Google for advice and he told me Rinse seeds in a strainer with cold water Then put seeds in a bowl or mason jar for 8 hours Rinse and repeat (twice) Now your seeds are ready to plant That being said I attached a few pictures the longer grass is 17 days growth this is the first batch I buried plain seeds I then added some soaked seeds. They grew they just took longer I also attached a pic of a pan I planted 6 days ago using only the rinse and repeat seeds. These grew so much quicker Another pic is Mr Earl chomping down all my hard work. I still have 40% of my seeds left even after my trial and error. A new bag of seeds is in my cart as we speak.
