CE1155 Computerized Sewing Machine with LCD Display

It’s lovely. I’ve been sewing for decades. I considered myself good. Then I had a stroke. I find this machine will require a lot of learning. I had a regular sewing machine before the stroke and everything was fine. This sewing machine is computerized. There is not a handbook available, not even on YouTube. I have found a few seamstresses that posted on YouTube, but I seriously could use a lot more help. I’m learning as I go. I’m glad I know and remember some things, but there’s a lot of new things I never had before with no instructions as how to use it… stitches are computerized and I’m still learning what to do. There are no instructions as to how to use the little white buttons to change the stitches. I have never seen or used a needle threader… not very much instruction but I am figuring it out… but a needle threader is such a treat to have! Threading the machine and using the bobbin wasn’t too much different and I’m doing fine with it. It comes with a page front and back of “instructions” … mostly how to thread the machine and how to use a bobbin. I am only interested in making alterations to clothes, not making clothes. All in all I’m really pleased with my purchase. I am determined to learn to use it. BUT…this is just my opinion, I do NOT see it as a beginner model. I have been sewing for over 50 years. I did have a stroke. This sewing machine has not been easy. Partly because of the stroke. And partly because it’s now computerized.

Perfect. I have problems with my legs. So don't use foot pedal. Great to be able to sew with button on machine . Easy to control.

I’m really pleased with this sewing machine so far. I bought this for my daughter (9) who is taking a beginner’s sewing class. This machine is so easy to set up and start using right away. I love the digital display and selection of stitches vs other machines that have the knob. I never could figure out which stitch I was on with those. The automatic needle threader is also very helpful for beginners. I have an older model Brother machine and it’s still going strong after 13 years so I have no doubt that this one will be of similar quality. While this is a little pricier than some others, you definitely get what you pay for. Spend a little extra on this one and you won’t be disappointed.

This Brother sewing machine was purchased to be given as a gift to a young person that is learning to sew. I decided to unpack and check it's operation before wrapping as a gift and I am glad I did. Upon testing a number of faults were discovered. The main buttonhole with straight ends stitched right through where the opening that was to be cut after one side was finished and before the opposite side was stitched. Never ever in my life have I seen a sewing machine make that blunder. Then I decided to sample some other stitches and some stitched out ok and others were non recognizable. So the software in the machine was faulty and the machine had to be returned. So it was re-packed exactly as it came out of the box and sent back. I am still waiting for my refund.

Good purchase except at first it did take me a while to get it. I still need to more time to get use to it ..

Love this machine! Newest model from brother and I'm in love. Totally sturdy for all my needs yet beginner friendly. Easy to thread. Love the green color too . Simple yet functional and great price !

Love this little sewing machine. It is definitely a beginner machine. I use it for craft projects. Easy to get out and use.

This was sold by Amazon resale. However, I don’t think the item was inspected for quality before being resold. The bobbin winder does not work and the machine produces an error message after being threaded. Tried to troubleshoot directly with Brother but they suggested getting it repaired. I bought it for my daughter’s birthday but unfortunately she’s not able to use it. Had to return it for a refund.

I love this sewing machine there are so many lovely stitches it's easy to use have made several items with it I love the speed being able to slow it right down so have been able to get my young granddaughters to have a go

I was really pleased when this new sewing machine was delivered a week earlier than expected! However..... It was delivered with an American style plug. There was no adaptor, no transformer to alter the power to UK and nothing else to make a change to the power. I noticed in the product information that, if it came without the correct plug, you should contact the local Brother Rep. I called the UK Brother help desk and was told that the product I'd bought wasn't made for the European market !!! It has to be returned . Brother have opened a customer service file about this problem.
