After a few years of using gel and uv lamps I suddenly became uv sensitive. My nails actually looked worse then in the picture, deep purple burns, no density to the nail, damaged split layers, they were absolutely disgusting and I thought I had ruined them for good. My daughter found Essie to the rescue UV gel repair. So I purchased this at the end of September 2025. It definitely took a while but as the nails grew, the new nail was thick and healthy looking. Once the regrowth reached the end if the nail bed, I actually had healthy looking nails. It is now end of March 2026 and my nails are getting much longer and are tough, this is the picture taken today. This product actually works, it stays fresh looking for over a week and doesn't chip, but stays and keeps the nails protected whilst they grow. Absolutely amazing and very highly recommend.

It works! My nails were dry, brittle and peeling after consecutive gel nails. I tried this for a week as recommended and it has definitely made a difference! It painted two coats. Yes, one or two nails peeled off but no big deal, I just repainted them! Can genuinely see a noticeable difference in my nails not being so dry and peeling. I’ll use as a base coat going forward.

after having damaged my nails, they needed a bit of tlc. this polish strengthens and hides imperfections. my nails feel healthy and glossy (i used the nails inc top coat) although, this polish takes a while to dry so do be wary since it will smudge and make sure to apply quickly since it can turn gloopy. this photo is how it looks on my nails with two thin coats. other than that, the colour is amazing and i would most definitely repurchase

Lovely colour but chips easily after a couple of days and not easy to apply, consistency is thick and sticky.

I'm not sure how these manufacturers get away with making the claims that they do but this 'rescue' treatment was a complete waste of time and money. I tried it several times being ultra careful with the application, but it chipped after a day (I got two days at most on one attempt) and the exposed nail splits; so just like the impact of gel nails that I am trying to heal from. I don't think there are really any effective products for repair from gel nail damage and it is a waiting game. I keep my nails bare now but use oils and shea butter regularly through the day and this seems to be far more effective. Save your money and swerve this one.

I don’t know how I have survived without this before my discovery of its existence! It acts like builder gel but without being a gel and therefore, no need for the UV lamp which really damages my nails. So I get all the benefits of the strength of a builder gel, without the cons. It’s a lot thicker than most varnishes but this is to be expected based on its purpose. Apply it quickly and in 2 thin as you can layers to get the best application. The colour is beautiful & I sometimes wear it alone as a pinkish nude. Make sure you apply direct to the nail so it can work its magic in repairing any damage - honestly, give it a go; you won’t be disappointed!

Gives nice colour to my nails but that’s it. No longevity as it peels off so easily especially on the gel damaged part of the nail, so sure how it’s supposed to help repair/ rescue the nail. Would I buy it again? Only for the colour. It doesn’t “rescue” anything.

Lovely shiny finish that really revives thin, stained, rough and peeling fingernails. Thickens in the bottle after only a few uses though which makes it impossible to apply thin layers as per the label instructions.

Do not see any difference after a few weeks of using it. Nails are still fragile, constantly bend if bumped and chip easily
