Great external hard drive, when on sale
Good performance at a great price at the time. Be careful to understand performance and time it takes when doing massive backups or copies of files. (worked best on windows and very well on macOS.)

Perfect
I picked up this 4TB hard drive with pretty simple expectations: I wanted something that would work, store a lot of data, and not give me any headaches. After using it for a while, I can say confidently that it delivers exactly that. Performance & Reliability: Right out of the box, the drive worked flawlessly. Setup was quick—pretty much plug-and-play—and my system recognized it immediately. Transfer speeds were solid and consistent, not blazing-fast like an SSD of course, but exactly what you expect from a dependable HDD. Whether I was moving large video files or backing up a ton of photos, it handled everything without stuttering, freezing, or randomly disconnecting. Noise & Heat: The drive runs quietly, with only a faint hum during heavier transfers. It also stays at a stable temperature; even after extended use, it never ran hot or worried me. For anyone planning to keep it inside a PC case or use it as an external backup unit, this is definitely a plus. Build Quality: The construction feels sturdy and well-made. Nothing cheap or flimsy about it. The ports are secure, the casing feels solid, and overall it gives the impression of something built to last. For a drive of this capacity, that peace of mind matters. Capacity & Use Case: 4TB is a sweet spot for a lot of people—it’s plenty of room for games, media collections, backups, or general long-term storage. I’ve already loaded it with a substantial amount of data, and it performs just as smoothly at higher fill levels as it did when empty. Overall: This is one of those purchases that doesn’t try to impress with bells and whistles—it just works. And honestly, that’s exactly what I wanted. If you're looking for a straightforward, reliable 4TB hard drive that performs well and doesn’t cause headaches, this one is a solid choice. I’d absolutely buy it again.

Good drive
worked great out of box... Small issue of going from win10 to win11 tho. Win10 was drag /drop, no problems. When linked on win11, file folders were not found. Solved issue: create the folders on Win11 first, then drag /drop from win10 to those folders....all good Speed good for it's type, 2TB is plenty BU for me.

Good and reliable for the price.
Very nice, lightweight, and compact external HDD. Works out of the box. This will be useful for my school and programming files.

Great drive but hobbled by cheap, loud enclosure
Great value per gigabyte. I recommend replacing the included USB (type B micro connector to USB type A) with type B micro connector to USB C for faster performance. The downside is the drive can be very loud when spinning up so you don't want to be using this drive in a quiet area like a bedroom. There is an included utility to keep the drive awake this but it only works on Windows. I have several of this model and all have had the same issue--it's a design flaw in the logic board not a defect in the drive itself. As others have pointed out, these drives do have an almost guaranteed failure rate. But, in my experience it is always a logic board failure and not a drive failure. Placing the drive in a new enclosure always gets the drive running again with zero data loss and fixes the noise issues as well. If you are thinking of buying this drive to shuck it's a great value but otherwise know you will most likely be replacing the enclosure due to failure about year two or three.

One of those products that feels worth the money
I bought this external hard drive a little while ago, and I have to say it’s been a solid purchase. The first thing I noticed was how sturdy and well-made it feels—no cheap materials or flimsy parts. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and it’s been reliable every time I’ve used it. Setup was straightforward, and I didn’t have to spend a ton of time figuring things out. That’s a big plus for me because I like products that just work without a lot of hassle. Performance-wise, it’s been fast, consistent and dependable. I haven’t run into any issues, and it’s held up well even with regular use. The design is simple but practical, and slim which makes it perfect for transport. If I had to point out one downside, it would be that the price feels a little high compared to similar options. But honestly, the quality makes up for it—I’d rather pay a bit more for something that lasts than save a few bucks and end up replacing it sooner.

Ton of space, reasonable price, occasional noise
I recently picked up a 22TB external hard drive, and so far it’s been a great value for amount of storage you get. The capacity is huge for the price, which makes it appealing option if you need a lot of space without spending a fortune. Physically, it’s a typical external drive—nothing oversized or bulky—so it fits easily on a desk or shelf. One thing to note, though: it can get a bit loud at times. I wouldn’t recommend keeping it running full‑time in a quiet space like a bedroom office unless you don’t mind some background noise. My main use is offsite backups, so I only plug it in for short periods. Because of that, it’s too early to say much about long‑term reliability. Performance‑wise, it’s not the fastest drive out there, but it’s perfectly adequate for backup tasks and general storage. Overall, if you need a ton of space at a reasonable price and don’t mind occasional noise, it’s a strong choice.
