I bought this to install inside my gazebo so I’d have proper camera coverage in there, and it’s been spot‑on. Even though it’s a solar camera, we hooked it up to mains power so it never needs charging, which makes it completely hassle‑free. The pan and tilt works smoothly, the 2K image is really clear, and it’s ideal for keeping an eye on my expensive BBQ equipment. Once it’s set up, it just does its job quietly and reliably. If you want a solid outdoor camera with great coverage and no battery maintenance, this one is a great choice.

I recently purchased the eufy Security SoloCam E30 2K Solar Security Camera, and it’s a great addition to my home security setup. The setup is very straightforward—it’s completely wireless, so installation is quick and hassle-free. The app is also very easy to use, making it simple to get everything up and running and manage your camera day to day. One of the standout features is the solar panel. With just a small amount of daily sunlight, it keeps the camera charged, so you don’t have to worry about constantly taking it down to recharge. It’s a really convenient feature and makes it ideal for long-term use. The video quality is very good as well, with clear 2K resolution both day and night. It captures plenty of detail, and the pan and tilt feature helps cover a wider area without needing multiple cameras. Overall performance is reliable, and the fact there are no monthly fees is a big bonus compared to other brands. Overall, this is a great product—easy to use, reliable, and very convenient thanks to the solar charging. I was looking for a new camera for my back garden to replace my rather old non-solar one. My checklist included no subscription, pan and tilt and integrated solar panel for aesthetics. This ticked those boxes with the added bonus of AI tracking all at a reasonable ninety pounds at the time. Being EUFY was a bonus as I already have a doorbell of this brand so I could just add it to the app. Note I don’t have the Homebase nor do I have plans to buy it in the near future. I charged the device and inserted the micro SD card from my old device before setting up. I did have trouble with the initial wifi connection as for some reason it wouldn’t take my saved router password but did when I entered it manually. It picked up and formatted the SD card ok. Mounting was pretty straightforward with good instructions though adding the panel to the top was very fiddly no thanks to my big mitts. Look out for the tiny screws in the bag as you will need those. My one criticism of this setup is the rather weak plastic mount which could quite easily be pulled off the wall (if reachable) and that’s your camera and footage gone. After a few weeks I am happy with this device though as it is a big improvement on my old setup. It looks more professional and the slightly creepy tracking is great, it’s as if a belligerent security card in a darkened room is actually watching you. It definitely adds to the psychological deterrent if you ask me as well as producing more useful footage. It’s quite a grey day today and despite being westerly facing I can see the battery charging too which is reassuring. The app works well and it’s nice to have it integrated with my doorbell so I’m not swapping between them. I can easily snooze both devices if I’m in and out of my gardens. So overall I’m happy with this device (apart from the rather weak wall mount) that gives me peace of mind when I’m home or away.

One of the best purchases I’ve made for my house! The camera is so easy to set up and install (compared to my eufy C31 doorbell which was a nightmare to connect) I’ve put mine in the eaves of my window and then run the cable for the solar panel over my flat roof onto the front of my house. The solar panel charges my Camera perfectly, I have an east facing front and I get about 4/5 hours of sun in the morning and it’s enough to keep it topped to to 100% all day. Although yet to test it in the winter. But I did buy a separate USB cable which will enable me to have it hard wired in full Time in the winter if this is the case (bought it for around £15 on amazon). One thing that eufy do not market is the fact that if you hard wire it in, you can have it running 24/7 which would be a great selling point for some people. Motion detection and notifications have been super, Although I did find it helpful to set up a schedule so between 10pm-8am I wouldn’t get a notification for the camera because the infrared does get set off by bugs and spiders etc but not much you can do about that. You can set up presets so the camera will revert back to a home point after following whatever it has detected. I have no faults, the only thing that would be helpful is some sort of security measure to deter the camera from being stolen, It is easy to just unclip it and walk away with it and then if you scan the QR code you could easily just add it to your own eufy app with nothing the owner can do! Although I installed mine high enough that you would need a step ladder to take it down. 100% recommend this to anyone, keep an eye out as it is regularly on offer on Amazon.

Nothing but good things to say about this camera. Was really easy to install and the quality both day and night is fantastic. Streams really well, the solar panel is working seamlessly and the added options of disarm (when in garden), home and away are great too. The alarm goes off when picking up movement in the cameras range so feel like offering my property that extra bit of security & a deterrent while away from home. AI motion feature works really well for humans ( if using this mode) Will be buying another for my driveway soon

I initially did not want this camera as i had ordered a S340 which are excellent and i have bought 5 of them. I really needed an extra camera and bought the S340 but it was not delivered and when i was contacted by amazon to query the non delivery i was told that i could have a refund only. as it was on special when i bought i was paid the special price and now it would cost me an extra fifty pounds. I decided to rather buy E30 as it was in my price range and guess what it was the only one that has given me endless problems. It keeps on going off and the sensitivity cannot be lessened so we do not use it. Very disappointing. We have tried it in a quieter area where there is no wind etc to no avail. Do not try this model.

These are the best cameras I have purchased. They are an addition to other Eufy cameras I have been using. They are well made and easy to set up. The solar power feed makes it easy to install. The wi-fi range is very good and make it possible to cover a wide area. The app is very easy to use and full of options for setting the camera up as you want it. The tracking feature keeps the ‘visitor’ in the picture and focused. The images at 2k make the viewing very clear and useful. The cameras also act as proximity alerts and can notify you when they are activated. I have considerable knowledge of security equipment and recommend these. Security equipment for under £100 is hard to beat.

I bought this camera just under 10 months ago. It was excellent until the winter arrived. As the nights closed in and cloudy days there was insufficient sun to charge the battery and it gradually stopped recording. I took the camera down and brought it in the charge up via USB. Unfortunatley despite doing everything suggested the charging light did not come on and nothing will coax the battery to charge. ....Update after another attempt and charging for a whole day, despite there being no light to show charging, followed by pushing the sync button in every conceivable combination it sprung to life and the blue light came on. Its now back in position and working well. Mine appeared dead for days but has recovered and is now back in position and working again. I've given it 3 stars as the camera is great but it should be easier to resolve problems than this.

Excelente, o painel solar proporciona liberdade na instalação e despreocupação com fios. A integração com a HomeBase 3 é um plus. A quem se interessar, recomendo dar uma olhada na S340, caso o orçamento permita. Comprei uma de cada e a S340 oferece mais pelo preço,v tanto que só não devolvi a E30 porque fica num local que ela até atende, mas a S340 vale mais a pena!
