I purchased this product to help keep my home protection near my beside, but secured away from the kiddos. My wife was agreeably a little uneasy about leaving the pistol in our nightstand where it can be unintentionally accessed. I couldn't be more satisfied with this, the sensor is incredibly fast and reliable in my opinion, it gives me quick access in less than a second, I love that I can store many fingerprints if I want to so multiply family members can access it if I am not around, and the option to use a code adds an extra layer of security in my opinion. This feels extremely sturdy and well made I saw it mas made from carbon steel, and I appreciate the slim design which makes it easy to mount under my desk or next to my bed, and the foam padding inside keeps everything secure without anything shifting.

It works great but it’s better for a Glock or a MP nine or a very large semi automatic handgun. It is not made for revolvers 38 38 Special 22s 9 mm MP nine shields. This is definitely for a larger gun not one. Your wife may carry as it won’t be sturdy enough when it opens. It could fall out the side if you don’t grab it quick enough I’m probably gonna go with the other one that goes straight out instead of opens the way this does.

The fingerprint reader is easy to set up, and the code as a backup. It slides out easily, and can get quickly. The foam insert is easy to trim to your size firearm. Great quality for a great value!

My wife was uneasy with me having a pistol as we have 3 kids. Kids always find a way to find what we don't want them to have. This is the ultimate pistol safe to keep everyone out of harms way. It's slim design makes for easy storage. It opens easy with numbers or fingerprint for quick access. It functions as it should and looks durable. It's a good value.

The Urban Deco hand gun safe. Issues: the instruction manual leaves out key instructions for registering fingerprints. I did figure it out eventually. The single screw from inside holding the safe in place. Very tight fit for male hands to screw this in place. Took me time to use small set of plyers. The screws included for installatiin on wood instantly stripped with my drill. Throw them out and use your own. Instructions written by someone whose english appears to be their 5th language. The speed of fingerprint identification seems a little slow, but works. Batter pack on outside, susceptiple to being taken out which allows anyone to open. I put mine agaist wall, but now i will need to lift safe of mounting plate to replace. Password and fingerprints do work, will see how it works over time. The cheap parts take away from function.

This thing is great. Nicer quality than i expected for the price. Very happy with it.

The lock picking lawyer would likely make quick work of this one. For a simple safe it works well, but the simple backup lock feels cheap and likely easy to bypass. That isn't likely to happen, so I'm not concerned as the people I'm trying to keep away from the contents won't even know it is there, never will, and are not professional lockpickers. The metal quality is excellent and the mounting options are very good. The mounting bracket can be installed on either side, but is only secured in place with a single screw. As a result the whole 'safe' could be removed with a single screwdrivers. I opted to use a security screw so it isn't a simple philips screw holding it in place. You'll at least need to get a triangle driver to get it off the mounting position. It fits a G19X nicely so plenty of room for most. At $110 it is a great value and a great addition to my storage setup.

Works great

While the quality and design of this unit are good, I had a lot of trouble getting it set up. The keypad entry system that relies on long presses here and multi-presses there is "too clever by half" in my opinion. It doesn't give me much confidence that you could easily access in a hurry if you wanted to. With that said, it's as tough as any other gun safe I've seen, and will certainly fulfil legal requirements of keeping your piece locked up.
