I've been happy with this router. In approx 6 months I've had to reboot it just once. The software is good with parental controls that are easy to use. The only fault I find is that there's not quite enough configurability around clients, multiple ssids, and time scheduling. This would be perfect if they had put a little more effort into that part of the software to allow fine-tuning. I know there's other firmwares available, but the stock firmware is already pretty close and it would be great to have it do everything I wanted right out of the box. It's been very reliable, and the sale price was really competitive. It doesn't require any subscriptions to be useful, and it even looks cool. I'm happy with my purchase.

I’ve been using the ASUS RT-AX57 router for some time now, and I have to say, I’m thoroughly impressed. Despite its budget-friendly price, this router delivers performance and features that rival much more expensive models. Great Performance and Coverage The range on this router is excellent. It provides strong, reliable coverage throughout my home, eliminating dead zones and ensuring a seamless internet experience. Whether it’s streaming, gaming, or just regular browsing, the RT-AX57 handles everything effortlessly. Fantastic Mesh System What really sets this router apart is how well it integrates into a mesh system. I currently run two RT-AX57 routers as part of a mesh setup, along with a more expensive ASUS router as the primary node. The synchronization between these routers is flawless, creating a unified network with excellent speed and minimal latency across all devices. ASUS’s AiMesh technology makes setup and management incredibly easy. User-Friendly App The ASUS Router app is another highlight. It’s intuitive and packed with useful features, allowing me to monitor network activity, manage devices, and even prioritize bandwidth with ease. The app also makes it simple to set up and manage the mesh network, which is a huge plus for anyone who wants advanced functionality without the hassle of complicated configurations. No Issues So Far In terms of reliability, I’ve had zero issues so far. The routers have been rock-solid, delivering consistent performance without drops or hiccups. This is especially impressive given the affordable price point of the RT-AX57. Final Thoughts If you’re looking for a budget-friendly router that punches above its weight, the ASUS RT-AX57 is an outstanding choice. It’s affordable, reliable, and works fantastically as part of a mesh system. Whether you’re using it as a standalone router or in a multi-router setup like mine, you won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend this router for anyone looking for great performance at an unbeatable value.

Great router replacing my old still functional AC5300 router. BE6800 sports double the memory and cpu core at 1GB 4 core CPU, and the 3 long antennas cover more than the 6 antennas of my old router. Configured BE6800 the same way as my old router and slot it in as a pure replacement. Works like a charm, one SSID, it automatically pic he right channel or channel based on client device, works flawlessly. As for the old AC5300, I reset it and run it as an AiMesh node to extend the range to the other side of the house. Connected via a CAT6 cable as backhaul, the coverage is now superb at both ends of the house and the yards. Router is running embedded linux, allowing flexibilty of firewall, many features handle like a breeze, like DNS, DHCP, Media server, remote disk, SSH access, speed test, traceroute, etc. Many generation after AC5300, delivery same and more features at a cheaper price, even before inflation adjustment.

I’ve been really impressed with the ASUS RT-BE86U. I’ve deployed several of these in single-router setups (no nodes yet), and every one has been completely stable and dependable. Setup was straightforward. I always update to the latest firmware right away, and each install has gone perfectly — no connection drops, slowdowns, or random issues. Most of these homes have around 20–30 devices connected, including phones, TVs, Google smart devices, and the occasional gaming PC. The RT-BE86U handles everything effortlessly with solid speed and coverage throughout the house. The only small change I’ve noticed compared to the AX86U Pro is the rearranged GUI — some of the Wi-Fi settings have been moved under the “Network” section. It’s a bit different and took a minute to get used to, but once you know where everything is, it’s not a big deal. Overall, the RT-BE86U has been flawless as a standalone router. It’s fast, reliable, and a great upgrade for anyone wanting top-tier Wi-Fi 7 performance without headaches.
