Gracioso Boombox CD Player, CD Cassette Player Comb

I am so pleased with this. I have so many book and music CDs and cassettes but my old boom box was huge and didnt even play MP3 Cds and I didn't have a DAB radios. This TINY cube has speakers, CD, cassette and Bluetooth and can plug straight into my little power block with no bulky chargers. So now I can listen to Audible, BBC sounds, all MP3 stuff on my phone as well my older media. Sound is good, much better than phone speaker. Unit is lightweight. Can't vouch for battery life yet, haven't used unplugged for long enough yet. And have so much more space on my bedside table. Rarely write reviews or take pics but am very happy with this purchase.

Yeah it's a little pricey but I will happily give it 5 stars. I love this thing. It has everything you could ask for. Plays CDs, Tapes and Radio and it doesn't stop there. You can connect a usb stick, a memory card and even bluetooth. You can charge it and the charge lasted for about 5 CDs worth of music plus about half an hour of radio. The sound quality is plenty loud enough and clear. It's a decent size that fits in the rooms I need it to. I was dubious at the price of it but considering all the things it can do it is so worth it. Considering the price a decent sized bluetooth speaker will set you back at about £25-30 just proves this is worth it. It's sturdy and lightweight with a handle. Honestly, I have bragged about this to people I know.

Initially I wanted to give a poor review due to mixed messages about delivery - the original delivery time of by 1pm did not happen. I was then informed there would be a delivery timeframe of up to 3 days followed by another email stating delivery could be up to 10pm that day. The delivery finally happened to 8pm - 7 hours later than the original time given when purchasing the product. The actual produce is good - its compact - all the functions work and the sound is good - yes I would recommend this product.

I wasn't sure what this would be like as it is to me this is from an unknown manufacturer. It plays physical media with the additional advantages of playing Micro SD, USB, Aux in and Bluetooth as well as the great advantage of Bluetooth out. When played through a decent pair of Bluetooth speakers this becomes a complete micro Hi-Fi system. I will give a quick overview of the various functions below. Remote Control. This is a proper remote and not a flimsy membrane one that is typical these days and it has additional functions that are not on the player such as folder selection for MP3 files. Speakers. Side firing and small, they are loud but lack bass and sound typical of a small boombox. Battery. Having a built in rechargable battery is great and no need to pay out for sets of C or D cells as is normally the case. Display. Though limited to a few characters gives clear and reasonable info including FM frequency, CD track number and track time alternating, folder number, EQ setting and volume. Unfortunately it does not include track name info. FM Radio. Digital tuner though is prone to being noisy if the signal is not strong. CD Player. I was pleased to see it can play both standard audio and MP3 CDs including those with folders. I love the clear lid that shows the disc spinning. The only downside for me is playing continuous mix CD's have a slight pause between tracks. I have heard this is an issue on some modern CD players. Tape. Playback quality is reasonable for a modern mechanism and I can confirm it is STEREO which is not always the case on modern portables. I haven't tried recording but having a fixed magnet erase head and (probably) DC bias circuitry will likely give noisy recordings. Bluetooth in, SD, USB. Not tested but I imagine will perform similarly to the MP3 CD function with selection of track and folder available. Other Features. Sleep timer is nice to have making it a great bedside player. Bluetooth out is the game changer for me. It elevates it from a small "boombox" to a reasonable portable micro system with pretty good audio quality when using digital audio media. Headphone socket which is sometimes lacking on modern players. Aux in for line in connected sources such as a record turntable. I am pleased with this overall as it is so versatile.
