Great Monitor!
The OMRON Gold Blood Pressure Monitor is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-use device for tracking their blood pressure. One of the standout features is its ability to store three days’ worth of readings, which is incredibly helpful if you forget to log your numbers right away—perfect for keeping consistent records for your doctor. The monitor itself is simple to use, with clear instructions and a straightforward interface that makes checking your blood pressure quick and hassle-free. The cuff fits comfortably, and the automatic inflation ensures accurate readings without discomfort. Another bonus is that it’s not too bulky, making it a great option for travel. It easily fits into a bag or suitcase, so you can keep up with monitoring your health even on the go. Overall, the OMRON Gold is a dependable, user-friendly blood pressure monitor that offers convenience and accuracy in a sleek, travel-friendly design. Highly recommend!

Excellent BP monitor
Excellent product, with capacity of two users and expanded memory. Comfortable and compact, easy to read and uncomplicated technology. I have used this model BP monitor for over 2 years and only purchased this new unit when I dropped my original unit. My method is to rest for 5 minutes, take 3 separate readings over another 5 minutes, then average the readings. Remember your BP can, and will, change with every reading, thus multiple readings. Having such a reliable device is essential to report your routine values when you visit your physicians’s office. My BP is frequently artificially elevated at the doc’s office because of the white coat phenomena; the fact that I just walked in the door and did not have an appropriate time to rest; a single reading, rather than an averaged reading; office devices that rarely, if ever, are calibrated; and office staff that have questionable training. So, I bring my history to the office to show my physician. This is a great opportunity to take charge of your health. As far as accuracy is concerned, have a look at Consumer Reports and their evaluation. As far as technique is concerned, read what the American Heart Association recommends. BTW, if you think that taking your BP 3 times over 10 minutes is too involved, or takes too long, then perhaps your stress level is affecting your BP. Remember, ensuring an accurate and reliable assessment of your BP, is one of THE most critical components of your healthcare. Finally, to underscore my comments above, these thoughts all result from being a practicing physician for over 40 years and seeing how important an accurate BP can be in everyone’s healthcare. (Yes, white coat phenomena affects us too!).

Accurate- my doctor was pleased
I had purchased a wrist monitor. When I took it with me to my doctor for comparison, it was wildly inaccurate. Of course, the return window closed the previous day. I purchased this model based on reviews. I took it with me to the doctor today, and it was accurate to within 2 pts. My doctor was pleased. Easy to use, comes with batteries and has a case with a small cloth handle on top of the carry case to help carry it to and from appointments. The case has a pocket in the lid that holds my bp tracking card. Very convenient. The display is easy to read even in low light. It's not back lit, but who takes their blood pressure in the dark? I think it will Bluetooth to my phone but I didn't bother to set that up. My doctor can read the card he gave me for my daily readings. I'm old. New technology is not my friend. I can easily write down the numbers! I'm very happy with this purchase. Highly recommend.

App is required to set date and time
Can't set the time and date without downloading the app, which I find a bit ridiculous considering the price. I don't want or need another app, so I've been manually copying down the numbers that my husband and I need into a spreadsheet and timestamping. That means no, I'm not saving the screwups where I didn't have the cuff on correctly, or I moved, or the readings are from people who happen to be visiting the house. I'm online to find a different device - non-Omron, I guess - where an app is an option, not a requirement. Other than that, it seems accurate and is easy to use, but I don't recommend it for people like me who don't live their life on their smartphone, lol.

Good bp monitor

I've grown accustomed to using Omron blood pressure monitors, my last I used for around18 years had stopped going to the propper pressure so I replaced it with this one. My wife wanted a different brand tha was about $20 cheaper but however as the saying goes is actually true in this case. The difference is clear first in the arm cuff, used hers while I waited for delivery of mine, it was a chore to get the velcro to release both to put on and remove, and the length seemed endless. My new Omron cuff it goes on and off much easier I'm unsure how the different velcro systems work but they are different. My old Omron cuff was the same way, never needed to replace it and it too was so easy to put on and take off, so unlike the one with my wife's Bios monitor. Mine also has two user with a two hundred reading memory for each person. The display shows both the new reading plus beside it shows the previous reading along with both date and time aternating with it and when looking back at previous readings they show in this display as well, always leving your current reading visible to you.

Straightforward to use, the cuff is comfortable and not difficult to position and tighten, the readings appear to be reasonably reliable, the display is clear and easy to read. Ideal if you have 2 individuals that want to make use of this device since it has 2 separate memories to keep track of previous readings. I have not tried to use the phone app so I can't comment on it.
