This is my first time using a spy camera and I have to say I am really glad I decided to use one. The camera is small and I have set it up so that I could view people walking through my gate. It's a decent camera at a great price point. It's efficient, and easy to set up. The picture quality is really great. All in all really pleased with my purchase. Highly recommend.

I purchased this product on June 25, but I didn’t use it immediately because I didn’t need it at the time. Now that I’m trying to use it to monitor my garden, I’ve discovered that the night vision is terrible. In addition, I have to keep it connected to a USB cable constantly; otherwise, the camera shuts off completely. This has been a very disappointing experience, especially given the price. I actually own a cheaper camera that performs much better than this one.

Honestly didn’t expect much given the size, but this little AOBOCAM packs a serious punch. It’s about the size of a sugar cube, yet the video quality is really clear, even at night. I’ve tucked it on a bookshelf and it blends right in, no wires or big clunky cameras ruining the look of the room. Setup was fairly straightforward, and once you get the app sorted, it’s easy to check in remotely. The motion alerts are spot on, no false alarms from shadows or passing cars, just proper movement in the room. If you want a discreet, hassle-free way to keep an eye on things when you’re not home, this is well worth it. Genuinely impressed!

Firstly, on a positive note the image from this is quite reasonable given its size, even the audio is ok. Now comes the problem. The battery life is very short. It lasted less than an hour. Surely that's not very useful or practical. Ok, so it says power from a power bank. Next problem, it appears to run very hot (expect its drawing a fairly large current), running from a power bank, and also defeats the object of being small and hard to tell its there with a cable sticking out of the top of it. If the power issues could be sorted I could live with that though. I suspect it would drain a power bank relatively quickly though. so, if you wanted this to be able to monitor your home while away, forget it.

Contrary to many of the other reviews, that I suspect may not be fully accurate. I would say this device is simply ok. The device is easy to set up and comes with a range of different connection fittings (clip, magnet, stand) as well as charging cable and easy to follow instructions. It is simple to get the device to work on the app however the app is very limited in function and some vital areas (such as the Ts&Cs) are all in Chinese. There is no PIR or motion trigger to capture video so you can either view live, or set to record everything. There is also no speaker for 2 way audio despite this being an option in the app. The video quality is ok. It works quite well in even low light and the night vision is a nice addition, however the quality of the video is akin to a smartphone camera from around 15 years ago, and the 'wide' angle is in fact very narrow. I do like that it has a built in battery so you can quickly use this without a power outlet but just from 10 minutes of setting up and connecting the device to WiFi, the battery had drained by around 30% so I don't imagine the continuous recording would last much more than 30 minutes maximum on battery. For the price, I can see this being useful as a quick security camera if you just need to set it up somewhere or take it with you for continuous recording. But anything beyond that and you may want to invest in something by Eufy or Tapo.

So what this listing isn’t clear on: The battery life lasts ONE HOUR. You have to charge it every single hour. How is this supposed to be a home security camera? The connection isn’t stable. I leave the room and can no longer view the feed. You need an SD card if you want to store any footage. The app is Chinese and has only 3 reviews on the App Store, all very low reviews. Tells me all I need to know. Just a load of cheap crap.
