Initially it was a bit challenging to set up as I was not fortunate enough to have assistance (the instructions tell you that you need two people for part of the installation process). I also had to play around with placement a bit as my available installation space was extremely limited and neither of the listed/'suggested mounting situations worked for me; however, with some head-scratching and debating with myself, I finally figured how to make it work how and where I needed it it, and all was good!! It functions well, and holds adequate weight, and looks really good with the light lacquer finish...the only thing I will say to a potential buyer is to make sure you have room to walk past it easily when its closed down because it still sticks out a few inches even when closed down...overall, very happy with this item and would purchase again.

Shipping and Assembly: The countertop arrived quickly with Amazon Prime and packaged carefully. As far as assembly there were no instructions included but I did remember that there was a video on Amazon showing how to attach this under the products pictures. There are 6 screws to install, 4 on top hinge and 2 on the folding arm. Note: It is much easier to install this with 2 people when installing unfortunately there was only myself and I had to use my head to prop up the countertop and try to keep it even and put in the screws underneath. Pros: • Nice wood and color matched my bar • Gives you a nice solid extra 12” of space • Coated for protection • Easy to assemble once you know how, great instructions on Amazon video Cons: • I think all these extensions are overpriced as a whole but they are all around the same price point • When extension is closed it does not fold flat sticks out approx. 3-4 inches. Would have liked it to close flat • Nice space but remember only 12” I put a cheese and cracker board on it • Be careful with the extension arm in assembling it snaps closed fast I got my finger pinched in it a couple of times Conclusion I like the Camco 43421 Oak Accents Countertop Extension for the purpose I am using it for. It is attractive, sturdy and serves the purpose. There is not much competition for its size unless you want to make one but then you wouldn’t be shopping on Amazon. I would recommend this product to my family and friends

I ordered two of these to give me a little more room on my sewing table. One for the backside and one for the left side. Worked out great! Very sturdy and not hard to install (followed directions). I just extended when I need room and fold when not in use. I would recommend these to anyone who just needs a little more table/room.

Look at other options. Received with hinge already attached to the wood, at an angle. Tried to contact seller, no response. I fixed it myself. Rather than having hinge attached they should just let the buyer install the hinge. Made in Vietnam.

This is perfect for our camper trailer. It gives just enough extra counter space. It can hold bowls and items needed for cooking or washing dishes or setting drinks on it. I would only use it as a cutting board if the place you screw it into is sturdy. If it's a flimsy wall, I would add support to it. Definitely recommend this board.

I didn't like that the hardware was not in the package. Thanks to Camco Customer Service they sent it to me and I had it in just a couple of days. Unfortunately, my countertop option wasn't in the instructions. It has an overhang, but isn't solid. My brother and I came up with a satisfactory install, which included strengthening the side of the counter with backing. And applied the extension under the overhang.

This will expand our counter space in our camper, it is very sturdy and well built, solid wood, and a nice hinge.

Installed this in a vintage Boler trailer which has next to no countertop space. Hubby installed in about 10 minutes and it works like a charm. Where every inch counts, this shelf is a well-made and sturdy godsend.

Great product unfortunately it arrived cracked and broken. But I did not find out until now since it was a Father’s Day Gift. Kind of disappointing!

Easy to install and good quality. My trailer has an overhang counter and it mounted seemlessly to it.
