Bro so many glue sticks … awesome

I bought the 200 pack of crystal clear glue sticks with intent to continue making clear window flower seals for my wedding invitations. Unfortunately, this glue is not transparent and is milky no matter how thin I try to make it or the temperature of the glue gun. In my photo, I compared to a previous glue that I used that wasn't even labeled as "crystal clear" and it faired much better than this pack from Amazon.

These glue sticks were awesome. They're small so they fit perfect. My little travel glue gun plus no webbing or string glue when you finish your project. Nice and clean burn

These were not full size glue sticks as it staed in the description. They are for a mini glue gun. Very disappointed.

The glue sticks came in a plain regular ziplock bag and mine ended up having a big hole in the bottom. The description says “full size” glue sticks and these are actually made to fit a mini glue gun. Disappointing to say the least.

Here's the deal: the listing states, explicitly, the 200 ct. 5.9" box of glue sticks is "Full-Size", but it also states within that same sentence that the sticks are 0.27 in diameter. 0.27" diameter is NOT considered a "full-size" glue stick. Full-size diameter is 0.43. To be clear, I DID NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I'm reviewing the listing issue that kept me from purchasing. There was not a readily available way to ask the manufacturers if, indeed, the 200 ct. box was actually MINI glue sticks instead of full-size. No return necessary. Ain't no carbon-footprint-guilt forced upon this would be buyer.

I got this set of 200 glue sticks since I’m a crafter and can go through a lot of them, especially during the holidays when there are more crafting activities going on. The listing was a little confusing since it lists that it is “full size” but had a diameter of .27 inches which I’ve only ever seen for mini glue guns. I have a mini, and since the diameter was specifically listed I figured I’d just request them and hope the diameter was the correct piece of the listing. It turned out they were for mini glue guns so I was off to a good start, and I was glad to see they fit in my Surebonder and are able to feed through without any problems. The other point I wasn’t sure about based on the listing was the expected temperature for the glue sticks. I have a dual-temperature glue gun so I don’t want to use them at the wrong setting if they’re only meant for one type. I’d hoped the packaging might clarify this point if I could just get it in person and look at the back of the bag, but the one I received was just a simple zip top bag and didn’t have any labeling at all. Speaking of—the bag doesn’t look anything like the one from the pictures, though I had thought the size of the bag looked wrong for a set of 200 sticks. It is sizable but shouldn’t be too difficult to store. I liked that it comes in a zip top bag so it can easily be resealed, but mine ended up getting a hole in the bottom at some point while I had it sitting out in my office, so I had to tape it. So far I’ve only used it on the lower temperature setting and it’s worked without any issues. The glue dripped out a little from the tip of my glue gun when I had it sitting idle for a while, but it didn’t give way to a full leak. I get the impression it cools down rather slowly, though that may just be in contrast to the glue stick I had to use up before I was able to test this set. It was kind of nice because I was able to reposition things if they weren’t quite right. The glue does dry clear as promised, and I like how it looks much better than the glue that dries with more of a clouded look. It’s also convenient that they are a little longer at about 6” since I find the 4” ones need to be changed out very frequently; 6” seems to hit a “sweet spot” where I don’t feel like I’m having to constantly feed the glue gun. I was able to make a fun crazy headband for an upcoming Christmas party. The plastic ornaments are staying on perfectly and since the glue has a longer cooling down period I was able to put a bead of glue on the headband, wait a bit, and then stick some tinsel on without damaging the material or hurting my fingers. I think this is quite a good value for 200 glue sticks, with its price of $14.85 at the time of this writing. I’ll definitely consider purchasing these in the future when I’ve run out.
