Makes great tapioca
This is the tapioca size we like best, not the quick cook or the large pearls. The slow cooker recipe findable on the internet is the best recipe I've tried.

Love these little pearls
Best tapioca pearls out there! My family loves the pudding best of all.

Delicious but Time Consuming
After years of purchasing Minute Tapioca, I had been unsuccessful at finding the product in my local stores. I found Bobโs Red Mill brand at a reasonable price and decided to try it. First drawback is the full hour it takes to cook the product. You also need to closely watch while cooking to avoid scorching. I followed the recipe on the back of the package carefully, even tempering the eggs to avoid scrambled eggs. The pudding was very thick (almost gummy) although the taste was delicious. The second attempt was much better. I separated my eggs and whipped the whites into stiff peaks along with the vanilla and a couple of tablespoons of granulated sugar. When the pearls were thoroughly cooked, I added the beaten eggs (again tempered) and cooked as the package directed. At the very end, I folded in my beaten egg whites. This created the texture that I was looking for in my pudding.
