My worst ever purchase
Do t waste your money. It's a novelty gift. Even when calibrated the sections of the kit are all over the place and you can't play a natural beat consistently. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

Expected better performance for 2024 Version.
According to AeroBand this 2024 version has upgraded internals for the sticks providing better overall performance and accuracy, if that's the case I'd hate to have bought a previous version as these need recalibrated more often than you get to actually enjoy to play. The app looks dated and isn't straight forward to setup either with the sticks / foot pad as takes multiple attempts to get them to "pair" - For the price of these it feels a bit of a rip off - as it stands I wouldn't recommend investing in this product.

Very Good - But for me not Perfect or Ideal
These electronic drum sticks are the best version I could find out there. The quality of the item is second to one and the app and support for the aero sticks is superb. For me not easy to use and I found with my drumming style very difficult to adjust my wrists and style to being accurate with these sticks. That said over time and maybe many hours of playing I'm sure I could adapt to them but would my drumming style really work flawlessly - I therefore decided to return them as frustrations levels were high - However the feel quality and sensitivity of the sticks were excellent - therefore a great product just not suited to my style and hold of the sticks - maybe for you these would be magical

Worked for 3 hours
Product was great for 3 hours on Christmas Day, and then stopped. Disappointed son, other reviews on their Facebook page show similar issues.

Fantastic for begineers but not for more experienced folks
I've received this product (PocketDrum2 MAX) as a gift. Mixed experience: some issues with the stick such as lights not changing according to the direction of the drum element that they're pointing to. Also, they seem extremely sensitive in terms of the direction: many times repeating the same action with the stick in the same directions generates different sounds, as if the calibration doesn't correctly set up the spatial position of the drum elements for the stick. for example, you expect to hit one of the Toms but when you repeat the same action, you hear Tom AND a cymbal on and off. Also, the position of the elements seems to change during the course of a session and I have to re-calibrate multiple times during every session. On the plus side, although sticks are shorter than real sticks but the experience and "the feel" of them are quite realistic and the feedback motion of the stick after every "hit" makes it a pleasant experience. As a newbie who's solely focused on getting the timings right ("calibrate the internal metronome") and developing coordination between my hands and feet, this is a very useful tool and I'm enjoying it, but I definitely expect the inconsistencies in spatial responses of the sticks to become very annoying at some point when I step into "intermediate" level.

DO NOT BUY
Awful app and product. Complete waste of materials. The drums aren’t where you’d expect them is one thing. But the delay from the action to the sound makes it completely unusable. Even the bass drum which is button pressed is a good 1/4second out. Useless garbage

Needs constant recalibration - drum heads drift too often

I gave this set five stars, not because it's perfect, but because it does exactly what I expected it to do. It is not a replacement for a real drum set. You have to look at it with realistic expectations. There is a bit of a learning curve, because you're trying to hit imaginary drums and cymbals in the air. I bought this due to the portability and because it looked fun. I also bought it as a bit of a cardio exercising tool as it is convenient and gets me moving my arms and legs, while having fun at the same time. The set does seem durable, well made and should last a long time if you take proper care of it. I calibrate mine without the use of the map, and have been able to get good results with it. That being said, I do know how to play drums and do own a real set, so I can visualize where the drums should be without the use of the map. A complete beginner who has never played drums before, should probably use the map until they get used to where the drums should be. You do have to recalibrate the sticks occasionally, but it only takes a second and has been no big deal to me. You can use it as a midi controller with programs like Garageband, and N- Track studio, but I haven't experimented much with that yet. I did purchase the bundle with the zippered carrying case, which holds all of the components and cables quite well. It comes with two double usb A to C cables for charging, and one white usb data cable for midi connection to a computer. The controller has audio in and and out jacks for accompaniment and headphones (comes with a pair of wired earbuds). There are power, volume up/down, and a voice button to choose between the 8 programmed drum kits. Overall, I think it is a fun, useful set which would fall somewhere between a learning tool and a toy. I recommend this set to anyone who wants a convenient drum set alternative who is willing to deal with its little quirks.

It’s fun to play drums this way. Good for composing drum pieces and recording on a computer. Very impressed.
