Attractive, sleek and easy to use
PACKAGING: Plain box within a plain box.PRODUCT: Built-in induction hob - BRI4001-MFUNCTION: This came very well packaged. Inside the first box was a further sealed box. Inside this were four rigid plastic corner pieces. The hob was secured within a polystyrene frame and lid. Inside, the hob was wrapped in a clear plastic bag. You also get an instruction manual, a roll of cushioned mounting tape and metal mounting brackets. The instruction manual is chunky. It is in two languages with the first 39 pages dedicated for the UK. The hob does not come supplied with a plug attached. It must be installed by a qualified technician. This is a very weighty piece of equipment. It is also quite attractive with a simple logo in the top left corner - ILVA Glass - which is an Italian company manufacturer of glass components. It measures 59cm x 52cm (on top) and requires a hole of 56cm x 49cm, so fits into my existing space within my 60cm unit.It has four heating zones and the touch sensitive controls are placed at the front, in the middle. It boosts many features including safety lock, digital display, timer and automatic shut-off. You will need to keep the manual to hand when using the hob as there is a lot to learn and remember. Since the manual covers a selection of different models, it is wise to go through it first and highlight what is relevant to this appliance (BRI4001-M). In use it works really well and I have no complaints. However, when the hob is switched off there is no 'hot surface' indication. Just something to be aware of.At the time of this review (January 2025) the induction hob was £130.65. I think this is reasonable and I would recommend.

Don’t risk it
I’m in my room in tears right now because I come home for a long 8 hour shift and I’m thinking all I want is pasta for dinner and since I don’t have a kitchen available I bought this product to make myself some pasta. And I WAS DISTRAUGHT WHEN IT DIDNT WORK. I paid extra shipping too😾. Anyways I’m going to panda express because I can’t cook my own pasta do not buy it

A Stylish and Efficient Induction Hob
The STARCHARTS 7200W built-in induction hob is a solid addition to any modern kitchen. The Italian ILVA glass looks sleek and adds a touch of sophistication to your cooking space. It heats up quickly, and the precision control makes cooking an absolute breeze. What I particularly like is the easy-to-clean surface just a quick wipe, and you’re done. The only minor downside is the control panel could be a bit more responsive. But overall, this hob offers excellent performance and is well worth considering for anyone upgrading their kitchen.

Heats but doesn't Hold correct temperature
Not sure if it is a defective unit, but this one did not hold the stated temperature at the level tested.I tried to warm some food at level 2, but burned it, so I let the pan cool down and re-tested.At level 2 it is suppose to hold 200 degrees, but got cast iron pan to over 400 degrees F in around 4 minutes. Whoa - no good. Returned it.
