My 8yo daughter has 4c natural hair. It's highly tangle-prone (that web effect) and she's extremely tender-headed. Wash day, braid day, all that was a nightmare. Ive tried so many products with mixed success. Batana oil by far has revolutionized our hair combing experience. To test it, I kept her hair in two-strand twists for several weeks. I'd shampoo it, deep condition it (all in twists) then re-twist the singles, re-applying the batana oil. Her hair separates like butter. Very few tangles, no breakage beyond normal shedding. And best of all, no tears! Her hair is soft, subtle and has a rich moisturized look. Give how dry 4c hair typically is, that's a big deal. Oh - and she's on the swim team and swims at least 2x a week. This has been a huge help. I personal hate the smell of coffee, and as others have said, it does have that burnt coffee scent. I wouldnt say it smells "bad". I just don't like it. I could see how coffee lovers might feel differently. (Note: I use Traycee Ellis' Patterns detangling leave-in and Karkar oil to round out the moisturizing arsenal. Together that works great for us, and the batana oil is a huge part of that product suite.). If you've 'tried everything", try this!

I love this more than I thought I would. It has a nutty coffee smell and the consistency is dreamy and creamy. It’s turned my straw-line feeling hair back to soft. I’m even putting it on my nails.

First off, it smells sooooo good, like coffee and creamer, very nice but not at all overwhelming, I want a body wash that smells like this lol, I’ve heard great things about it, honestly this was just the first brand I found on Amazon, I’m optimistic, I have curly/ wavy brunette hair, it used to be VERY thick, over the past year I’ve lost like 9/10ths of my hair with lots of scalp showing now, I have no baby hairs and I have very little left compared to what I had before, I don’t know what happened, doctors can’t figure it out, I plan to use this at least 2-3 times a week, or whenever I wash my hair, and check results, I will update how it goes for me in a couple months...

This really makes a difference to what my hair was doing before. I usually have a lot of shedding when I do my hair routine. I actually applied it for overnight instead and rinse it out and continue with my daily shampoo and conditioner. When it was time to blow dry my hair less to no strains . I will continue to use this and give a month review

From the first day I've received my jar of Batana Oil I applied it by rubbing some in the palms of my hands and rubbed it all over my freshly washed and conditioned hair then I greased my scalp with it and braided my hair. It made my afro textured hair soft and my hair felt stretched a little. It's like it grew right then because out of all the other greases I've used none of them felt like this. I love the smell of this oil. It smells like fresh brewed coffee and I don't drink coffee but heard coffee is a great stimulate on the scalp for blood circulation. I'm buying a jar a month because I'm on a hair challenge I gave myself to grow a huge afro by my Birthday this year in April! I might send a picture to up the sales because it's a star 5! Great product!

I’ve been oiling my hair for two years in an effort to stop losing it and regrow. I’m 39 and started shedding heavily either due to undernourishment or age. I’ve heard of this oil for awhile. The thing is, I only wash my hair 2-3x a week so I’m not sure if that’s why this didn’t work for me or what. I noticed no difference in using this. There’s not new growth. I do love the smell though as other users have commented. Definitely like a vanilla coffee smell. I’ll be using the rest on my skin to use up the container, but overall I wish I hadn’t spent money on this :/

Been on Amazon for years. Never left a review but I will for this one. 4c hair. Used this as a deep conditioner and let me tell you. My hair was so freaking soft. Curls defined. Could even say hair was elongated. Hair moisturized…chefs kiss! Hair felt 4b possibly 4a. Omg…buying more. I personally love the smell. Very nutty. Short ingredient list. Don’t need all the extra stuff. Will try the oil also. Found my new holy grail…
