IF YOU ARE READING THIS, YOU WILL SURVIVE.Kill each other within the time limit or die. It’s just another evening commute on the train, until the passengers are given an order they can’t disobey. Utter chaos ensues, but ordinary office worker Dokja Kim only feels an unsettling calm. He knows exactly how this will play out! The subway car, the passengers’ reactions, even the bizarre creature that suddenly appears to oversee this sadistic scenario...everything is straight out of his favorite story, an online novel so obscure he is its sole reader. And as the only one who knows where the plot is headed, Dokja must use his knowledge to survive the oncoming apocalypse! Review: Translation and the book are decent - After reading the manhwa(korean comics) I thought reading the book would be boring, however I read it in one night. The printing, style of the book was decent. Only thing I didn't like was translated names of a characters. For example Kim Dokja became Dokja Kim which really annoyes when you reading it after the manhwa or korean version. Characters 10/10, well written but don't have too much of a description. World 10/10 - everything happens in Korea, so you can see mentioning of a real places such as Han river. Total: the Omniscient reader's viewpoint is 10/10 for those who like fiction and mythology mixed with a reality. For those who don't like a slow pace story or when a lot of characters are from different mythology this story will be 7/10 or even lower. Review: Good Book - This is the physical edition of a popular webnovel: 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint.' I've never read the webnovel before, nor have i seen the manhwa / webcomic. There's a few spoilers with this review. The plot is that this man, Dokja Kim, was the sole reader of a specific webnovel which takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting, and the webnovel becomes reality. And 'constellations' watch the events unfold, donate coins, and give reactions -- as if they're reading a webnovel, but humanity ends up being the characters in the story. And that's where spoilers end. Despite him 'knowing' the outcome, he can either let things play out or alter the story. He does a bit of both, and the novel stays interesting. Dokja has to use his wits and prior knowledge to survive his new reality. It gives an edge to the main character, but the way its written was good. Never came off as a cheap way to give Dokja Kim any plot armor. Another thing I want to note in this review, is that if you like video games then the idea of stats & defeating bosses is applied to this book. It's very much a webnovel-type of story in that regard. I know that there are readers who don't like that kind of thing, but if you are into webnovels like Shadow Slave or any kind of LitRPG style books then this book is right up your alley. It makes me want to read the webnovel in order to keep up with the story (you can totally just use an app or buy the Kindle version), but I like physical copies of books.

Read this Review! What you need to know!
Binged this book in a total of maybe 5-6hrs of reading! Loved the Webcomic and knew I had to have this. I will be purchasing every volume! So I have been looking for something with a darker tone but still with an action scene and underlying mystery. This is it for me! Reads almost the exact same as the Webcomic. The detail has stepped up slightly and is bit more explicit than what you are getting from the comic. I can’t get enough of this story! I do want to see the ending and also don’t want it to end. I think this is really good for the Anime lovers and also the dark fantasy and RPG style gamers. This may be a book but this is something I think anyone can get into.

FINALLY!
This book is amazing! If you've read the unofficial translated webnovel, I prefer it over this official English translation. Only reason is because I am used to the way Asian names go last name first then first name. Dokja Kim sounds very western and does not have the appeal of why Asians go by last name first. Some words could have been used like "hyung" or "-nim" and "dokkaebi" instead of "goblin". That way people will become more familiar with the culture! The book came slightly damaged on one of the corners, but has super nice artwork from Black Box-nim! I wish there was a hardcover version since I feel like wear and tear can easily be done if you're not careful.

Exceeded hopes and dreams!
Incredible!!! the novel's design is stunning and gorgeous, and this version is much easier to read/understand than the web novel's og translation. ORV's novel was put together with such care and intentionality, I can't wait for the next release!

Great story, Lacking localization
The Book is beautiful, the quality of the pages and the cover is great! Amazing Story however a few gripes with the localization of the characters and words. If you have read the Webtoon or read the novel online beforehand it is a little disappointing. An example would be how they changed The Dokkaebi’s into the literal translation of the word which is goblin. To westerners goblins are very different to what the book describes and this can be found in other places aswell creating a jarring experience compared to reading the webtoon. If you are able to look past that or are a first time reader the novel is still amazing and I definitely recommend picking this up!

A lasting entertainment
I used to be a reader of comics and felt that conveying the story through words alone would prove difficult. Omniscient Reader is so well written and entertaining! Saying this as a reader of the Webtoon!
