Works well
Good little tool for when you're starting to learn chords. Simple but effective design and great for visualising chord patterns.

Clever and compact tool for learning chords
This is a fantastic tool for anyone learning piano or expanding their knowledge of chords. Its design is really clever—there’s a simple slider on the back that you use to scroll through different chord shapes and patterns. It breaks down the complexity of chords in a way that’s easy to understand, making it much more intuitive for beginners like me. The way it explains the patterns and chord shapes really helps things click, and it’s a great way to visually explore music theory. The quality of the tool is solid, and it’s compact enough to fit into a bag, making it super convenient for practice sessions or lessons on the go. The trick to use a pen to stand it upright works well. I’ve added a video to show exactly how it works, so be sure to watch that! The slider mechanism is straightforward, but really smart in how it helps you navigate through the different chords. Overall, it’s a great tool for anyone looking to get more familiar with piano chords. Highly recommended for beginners and even music producers who need a quick reference guide.

Ingenious tool to help learn piano chords
I ordered this nifty Piano Chords Compass made by the brand Noisy Clan. It's not for complete novices but could be a great help to students who are trying to get to grips with the 'laws' of composition, and even musi cproducers working on a non-standard keyboard. It would also be handy, I think, for transposing music from one key to another, whether that's in a studio, in a home set up, or out at lessons or even jam sessions. The device is simple - many of the best things are - and £19.99 is a lot for what is, to all accounts. However there is just nothing else like this out there, and the ingenuity of it, to be honest, is worth the price of it alone.

Piano Chord Compass
This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it. In terms of build quality, it appears to have been well-made - the material used is very robust, making it possible to use the compass again and again. All of the text has been printed in a clear and easy to understand manner, whilst the slider on the back has a smooth action - changing the displayed chords is simple, and can be done in seconds. I have a keyboard, but don't really know how to play it well, so I'm looking forward to using this interesting and innovative tool on my learning journey. In summary, a good value item.

The is better out there
I guess I should have purchase the one which included the book as this is ok but limited to possible beginners but if you know your scales perhaps you don’t need this . I was looking for things like Sus chords etc but no mention . Did contact support but no reply and no surprise. Love the hole for a stand ? It seems overpriced for what it is build quality seems not the strongest plastic not sure it will last with extend use , Time will tell

Well-thought-out, clear and genuinely useful chord aid
This rather wonderful little piano/keyboard chord compass makes it a doddle to find major, minor and diminished chords from any root note (including sharps and flats) so that their triads and seventh variations can be determined with little effort. It couldn’t be easier as all one has to do is slide the slider on the back along to whatever root note one wishes to find these chords for, and then it’s all worked out in a nice, easy and colourful arrangement with everything clearly indicated and labelled, along with root, minor 3rd, diminished 5th, 5th, minor 7th, 7th and octave colour-coded highlights. Easy-to-understand instructions come with the compass, but it’s super easy to work out anyway so they’re not really needed. Saying that, a quick overview will likely get one up to speed a little quicker. It’s about A5 size so small enough to be easily transportable, but yet still large enough to be easily readable. Also, with the aid of a pen or pencil pushed through the hole at the bottom right-hand corner it’ll stand upright as well (or can just be propped up against something). Also, with the hole it could be attached to a music stand and left hanging for the times when it’s needed to remind one of some chord or other. There’s really not much else I can add here apart from to say it’s great for many beginner and intermediate musicians (and a possible convenient reference for some advanced ones too), and very much aids learning, quick identification and retention of chords. Because of it’s size it can easily sit nearby to where one is playing or composing, and can be quickly grabbed or looked at where necessary. For the chords it’s used for (which is a great range of probably the most used), I can’t think of an easier way to quickly determine them. Very much recommended, and even at my level it’s a joy to use (and much better and more convenient than internet or book searches or relying upon memory where chords haven’t been used for a while).

This device looks simple, but even with that simple appearance, it provides a LOT of information. It's easy to use, compact and sturdy, and even had a built-in stand. This class of simple slide rule is called a Nomograph, used to show known relationships between variables. You slide a part to line up your reference value, then read the other information you need from little windows, or where arrows or lines point or intersect. This tool hits all the marks. Slide the bump on the back to show the root of your chord in the ROOT window, and the other notes you need to build the chord are in the other windows. Of course, it works backwards to find the root for when you know the 5th, or the 7th, or the minor 3rd. Slide the bump so the note you know is in the window you want, and the rest of the notes for that chord are displayed. I've played music on a dozen different instruments, from cornet to guitar, soprano sax to tinwhistle, shakuhachi to piano (learning that now), but the thing I didn't study was music theory. Well, I am now. Every musician eventually needs this sort of information, no matter how they get it, especially if they want to improvise, jam with others, or compose. This tool is a good tool for this job. It's small, lightweight, durable, easy to read and easy to use, and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. A great thing these days, when money doesn't go as far as it used to. A great value! Like I said, I'm studying piano right now. I have the Chord Compass next to me on my music stand. You'd probably want it on your music stand, too.
