The delight on my 9 year old niece's face when I gave her these was well worth the purchase!! More Jacqueline Wilson box sets please, particulary aimed at the "younger" fans as a lot of the box sets contain books that a 9 year wouldn't be reading.

We bought these books for our Niece, she is a huge Jacqueline Wilson fan. Our Niece specifically requested this particular set of books. I was very fortunate, because I think they were the last in stock available in time for Christmas.

Ordered for my 8yr old girl as she loves Tracy Beaker episodes. Pack arrived on time and contains all the books she wanted. There is no stopping her once she starts reading.

Great set of books at a good price. Arrived into Hong Kong in reasonable time although the Royal Mail tracking system left a little bit to be desired.

The themes in these books center around social interaction: bullies, parental divorce, foster care, feeling like a misfit, social isolation, etc. They are set in England and have the usual native slang like loo for bathroom. If the Young Adult you intend them for is struggling with reading, this may be a drawback. In my case, the intended reader likes more action in her stories so I'm returning the set. I ordered them by mistake--wrong author. If the subject matter sounds like your young reader's cup of tea, the stories are well written--I'd just recommend starting out with a single novel before you commit to a set of 10. My four star rating is geared toward readers at the 4th grade level interested in YA British novels centering on social interaction.
