Remarkable watch
I found it impossible to not fall in love with this watch. This watch delivers beauty, functionality, precision, robustness and lumes galore. Granted, I could have waited months or years to leave a proper review, but given that the watch may not even be available years from now, I can only update this review at a later date if something changes. This watch either gains 0 seconds, or 0.5 seconds in the few days I have worn it constantly, including showers, dish-washing, sleeping, but alas, not diving yet. The precision blows my mind. I do have a 20 years old Eco-drive that basically keeps atomic time (no radio) and to get this kind of precision on an automatic is either luck or the stuff of legends. As others have stated before me, this watch is a tank. It even looks like a melted tank. Everything is so precise and gorgeous, including the bezel action. Simply delicious sound as you rotate it and it comes to a fully centered state. The lume, as imaged, I took from inside a closed closet and adjusted the camera to image as close to what my eye sees. The lume lasts through the whole night, all the way to the morning hours and is easily readable even then. I don't do anything special to charge it. The image was taken after 5 seconds exposing to direct sunlight, but even in office light, and then going to bed, it just shines, almost like it is an LED. Simply remarkable. There is no question that the watch can easily be upgraded to be even more gorgeous but clearly that would increase the cost without increasing functionality, and this watch is incredibly functional. Now, the silicon straps that it came it, I replaced with the nylon straps, but those too are far too short. If you have large wrists, like I do, I barely get to the very first hole without cutting the blood circulation and that is annoying and has nothing to do with the watch itself. It is also nearly impossible to get XL canvas or nylon straps (non Nato) from Amazon. Many brands say they have XL versions, but no option to select during ordering. So I wonder if this watch could survive for however long on the surface of Venus, with surface atmospheric pressure of about 92 bars and 600 degree Fahrenheit temps. Both the melting point of sapphire and steel are much higher, so who knows :)

Impressive quality at very fair price.
I’ve had and still have several dive watches over my 58 years on this planet. I still on rare occasion use two of them when suited in full scuba gear. I wasn’t expecting much for the under $200 paid. To my complete surprise this is a very impressive, well designed and constructed time piece. I’m a beefy 6’3” guy and the size is just right, time accuracy appears very accurate, the lumination is excellent, beautiful scratch resistant sapphire crystal, very stylish classic dive watch that’s built like a small armored tank for your wrist. I’m so impressed with the quality I’m thinking of ordering another color thanks to the price point.

Really Like Ratio - REAL dive watches!
Ratio's are excellent watches and a great value for the price. It's an automatic watch (i.e. all mechanical, no battery) and it keeps excellent time. The lume is as good as my Seiko's and Citizens. One thing to note, however...the pictures of this watch shows a Ver. 2 of this watch, and the model number is for a Ver. 2. However, I don't believe this is what I received. I believe I got a Ver. 1. It's the same size, same movement, but the main difference is the Ver. 1 has an oyster red dial, and the Ver. 2 has a flat maroon dial (pictured). I would have much preferred the flat colored dial over the oyster version (very much preferred). I took one star off an otherwise 5 star watch for this. I don't like misrepresentation. This was a hard review for me to write because I love these Ratio watches, but the dial is represented in all the pictures as flat (not shiny), and the dial I received was oyster (shiny). It's a real dive watch though, so I'm keeping it. Oh, and the strap is a nice flexible silicone, but I switched it out to a nicer velcro strap with reflective badges on it.

Over all a great watch
The watch seems to be very well made with some quality features I look for like the sapphire crystal, great luminescense, great water resistance, auto winding and a Sekio movement that has a great track record for working very well. I love the style and it is pretty comfortable too. The only negative, which doesn't bother me much, is that it runs a little fast. But it's less than a minute per day and if it bothered me I'd have it adjusted to slow it down a tiny bit. It's my favorite watch out of the three autowinding diving watches I have due to its style and water resistance. I think it was well worth the money I paid for it.

This watch will get noticed! It’s a beautiful piece.
First off let me start out by saying this is a beautiful watch! I have a lot of different watches & have had many others over the years & i know a quality watch when i see one. Time will tell how well this watch keeps time but this watch checks every other box pretty much that i look for in a quality well built watch. The packaging presentation was also pretty nice. I do not dive at all so i will never come close to pushing the watches limits. I do spend a good amount of time in & around water though so it nice knowing this watch exceeds any situation i will ever be in. The watch has a good amount of weight to it. The second hand rolls it does not tick which you would normally only see in watches much more expensive. This watch seems like a good value for the price. Again it is absolutely gorgeous. Pictures do not do it justice.

Updated REVIEW AFTER 1 year it's a paper weight .
I wanted an automatic as I know we are headed towards hard times, battery dependent is NOT what I want so far the watch is nice in terms of quality , even the band is comfortable. BUT , this thing is really small compared to every dive watch Ive worn since 1991 ... it's a lil mini .....I guess Ill have to get used to the small housing and package.... Compared it to my G shock.....it's NOT what many would be used to ....everything is shrinking today, must be the economy .lol ! It's a Beta Male watch UPDATED ! The watch loses 10 minutes every month .. I have to reset the time every month to keep it accurate as it's always behind and not accurate. UPDATE !!! A year later it last nite QUIT completely ...I cannot make it function So after a year of NOT keeping time it is a paper weight ! JUNK !!!!

A great first impression. A well done watch.
I’m usually a very skeptical person but this was very impressive out of the box. Feels solid and well built. Rubber strap is nice if that is your thing. Looks amazing. Very impressed so far. Time will tell on the rest. I have to say I came away very surprised. Reviews were very good but I feel that it exceeded even those expectations.

OK everyday watch. Bad time keeping.
Love the styling, the gold dial face really stands out. Really feels solid and keeps good time too. My only regret is that the day dial is in English/Spanish, would have much preferred English/French day dial. The silicone watch band was nice, but I prefer a metal watch band so I changed it out for brushed stainless steel band with butterfly clasp. If replacing the band the 22mm size listed is incorrect, the correct size is 24mm. I also love the blue lume on the dial and watch hands, really looks nice. I don't dive so I will not be resting the 1000m depth rating, but considering that normal subs do not go that deep, it is not a bad thing. Anyway, nice watch, good solid build that can be used for every day wear. UPDATE I have had this watch for a while now. It has really bad time keeping. It runs about 2 to 3 minutes slow per day. That means in a week you will be 14 to 21 minutes behind unless you reset it constantly. I think it is the day/date complication that drains the mainspring faster then it should. Don't want to spend the time and money to get it serviced as this should not be an issue on a watch only a couple of years old.
