Ideal and tidy solution adapter for euro to uk plug socket

Easy to fit and works perfectly

Bought to replace the original plug on a hairdryer which was broken. Yes it's easy to fit but unfortunately the really no way to secure the straight europlug so it can become displaced easily. It also, pushes back in and re-seats easily enough to remake the connection but can be annoying IMO. The 2 pack makes it good value, has good build quality, just that missing secure fix internally would improve the functionality & design & it'd be a 5-star bargain

Easy and simple to modify from a two pin to a three prong plug. Good quality, comes with a small screwdriver to remove the screws. On the original lead on my device, prior to the plug, there is a cable clip attachment ,that when you wind up the cable, you can clip the attachment to the wound cable hence there’s no drooping plug and lead. With this adapter this wasn’t a issue that this clip gets in the way when you insert the original two way plug for conversion. Simply just plug into a three way electrical socket.

It works & arrived on time!

Now my fridge freezer has come back to life.

Using it for a European amplifier, the one that came with it was smashed in the box - but this is perfect

Neither suitable nor safe for straight EU plugs, as there’s room behind the plug for it to pull back. See pics showing the correctly installed plug, then when some tension was applied to the flex/cable and the plug inside just slides back and earth/ground terminal becomes exposed, third pic is the unit reopened and you can see just how little contact is now made between the terminals inside. I wasn’t risking this, as it could spark or worse. NOTE I have NOT tested with the 90-degree plugs in many of the pictures, and which seem perhaps to be the primary target use case. Just mentioning this for fairness.

I worried about using German plug in UK socket, so this was the simple and safe solution. No rewiring required as the plug fits the adapter perfectly. Recommended.
