LeChat Perfect Match Mood Gel Polish, Crimson Nightfall, 0.500 Ounce (MPMG18)

I've used this brand for the past 11 years and everytime I wear it in any color pp gets so impressed about the changing color effect, is like changing manicure in a second 👌🏼 10/10

This is my second bottle I have one client that's over 80 years old that's where's this color all of the time!! She loves it and says it's so fun. It glides on great it's not thick at all.

Loved it so much I've purchased other colors! Works well, color as shown. You get a lot of polish for a decent price. Lasts and lasts. Cures quickly with my LED light. Goes on smoothly. I didn't have any issue with the thickness of the polish. I am three weeks in to a current wearing of it and will need to soak it off only because of the amount of grow out I've had, there is not a chip, scuff or any other blemish. Tons of compliments from total strangers. This particular color is a matte, bright pink with a color change in cold to a matte dark purple. I also put a very light ombre of glitter polish on the tips and it looks really cool too. Buy it and have fun!

This is an awesome polish. I used it with my Gelish base and top coat. It was a little thick during application. But it looks beautiful after it's all done. The color is more bright red than fuschia like I thought. But my normal temp keeps it a bit darker, like wine colored. And when it's cold, it's almost black. I keep my nails pretty short normally, so when I first did them, the nail would all be a solid color. But now that it's been a week, I definitely see a little bit of an ombre effect as my nails grow out. Would be really pretty on longer nails. I haven't had any issues with chipping. I did peel off one of them, but I'm just a picker like that. No other issues. Will definitely purchase more. Oh. And I did want to add that even after a week of wear, the color still changes nice and quick.

So far, I have Magic Lace and Cascade in the Lechat Mood polishes, with a few more on the way. I prefer natural/nude colors and sheers, so this was an odd departure for me. Please note I am a lifelong NON-manicurist, and my hands are not in great shape and I have funny shaped nails, but I'm still having fun. 1) How did it go on? I used LeChat's base and top coat (not a fan of the base, but that's a separate review -- it was thick and unruly). The Magic Lace went on like a dream - smooth and thin, though since I'm not an expert I left a few brush streaks since it has a pearl/frost finish. The Cascade, however, was really hard to get a smooth coat. This may have been in part due to the narrow awful brush (I'm going to use a separate brush next time), and how thick it was. After two coats it still looked nasty and uneven, so I topped it with Magic Lace before the topcoat and the combination is actually pretty nice. The Magic Lace is quite sheer. So the color of the Cascade comes through a lot. Maybe too much -- the cold phase is very orange. A bright coral-orange color. I've uploaded photos - please don't judge my poor beginner skills and funky nails of a hard worker! 2) Color - the Magic Lace is a nice sheer pale tan that goes to a lovely medium brown when cold. I just find the shimmer too much for someone of my age (cough) and preferences, and the sparkly bits make it easier to leave brush marks/lines. The Cascade is a milky white that goes to a pinky-coral orange when cold. I did a test swatch and it's really too bright for my nude-loving tendencies, but pretty. Hard to get smooth even color, as above, though. The orange is much brighter and louder in daylight than incandescent, as I tried to show in photos, but it didn't come through well. 3) Curing -- I used Sally Hansen's 6W mini lamp, and cured each coat for 60-90 seconds since it seemed so thick. I had no problems with shrinkage or wrinkling. 4) Wear -- I'll let you know in a week or two. This was only my second home gel manicure. (Sally Hansen in a light sheer pink/nude was my first, and it was definitely easier than these. It went on thinner, smoother, and more evenly. And the nude color helped hide mistakes.) One or two bubbles because I had trouble getting thin even coats. And the color change bit is just fun! Overall, it worked for this beginner with some effort. Colors were fairly true to the LeChat website but I recommend image-searching real-life photos. I wish they had more sheer non-shimmer nude family colors, but I'll order another one or two for fun. I have my eye on Cherry Blossom next. !NEW! I've now tried Cherry Blossom and LOVE it. It's a slightly shimmery nude when hot and a deep wine-ish color when cold, but the shimmer is so delicate that it doesn't leave brush strokes and is fairly subtle. It changes quite easily, and when in mid-change, it forms unique blended shades. I've included some new photos (ok, a lot) trying to show you what it looks like in different temperature and lighting conditions. Again, please excuse my poor manicure skills and pathetic short nails. I'm new at this. The photos are of two coats, some a little thicker than they probably should've been, so see above about my skills! This time I cured with Spaire's 48W LED lamp, 60 seconds per layer, and it's a good bit harder than when I used the entry level Sally lamp, but still a little soft and would leave a mark if I really dug a another nail in. That flexibility may, however, help keep it from chipping.

the Crimson Nightfall is a wonderful color. The warm color is a little bit darker cherry red, the average color is what I think of a black cherry and the cold color is like a dark, blackish-red - not as purple as a burgundy, but close. The polish goes on smooth and has great coverage - I was comfortable with 2 coats. It works well with my Shellac base coat and Gelish top coat (my combination that works best with my nails). Finally, it lasts! I'm up to 7 days and that is unheard of for my nails - I've tried OPI, Gelish, Shellac and others & I still can't manage to get more than 5-6 days out of a polish, even gel and this one is holding up and not lifting off on it's own. IMHO, this polish is definitely worth the $12+.

Absolutely LOVE this brand of gel polish! I was getting my nails done at the salon and each time I got this mood polish my nails would last 3-4 weeks. No chips and no lifting at the cuticle. I’m so excited I can buy and do my own nails now. I have many colors from them! The polish is thin so you can do multiple coats which makes it last longer. I highly recommend googling swatches of each color, some have a shimmer and some don’t. In my experience Colors always differ from the picture, so I have attached photos. A general tip, the light color is when warm and the dark color is when cold. The warm color or an ombré is what’s on my nails majority of the the time! Love love it! Update***** I have uploaded swatch photos of many of the polish colors. Photos show swatches in the sun vs. in the shade. Most of the ones I have are “cream” finish. But “frost” finish has a shimmer to it. I still adore these polishes so much!! Mood gel changes from lilac to lime green, great coverage and lasts 2 weeks with easy removal.

This is a perfect match colour and should come with a gel polish and matching nail polish. I received only the gel polish. If buying this brand buy from a reputable seller where you will get both and not be ripped off.

Mood gel changes from a light sky blue to grey blue when cold...love how easy these gels are to apply, great coverage and lasts 2 weeks easily.

It's way too green. Application was ok, very thick consistency. I would really love it if it wasn't so Bold.
