Ultimate protection if your undercarriage is suffering!
This saddle has allowed me to continue riding my bike! I gave up some years ago due to issues with "my bits" and also prostatitis - both triggered by bike saddles (I was doing alot of biking on a road bike). Anyone who suffers from either of these should seriously consider this saddle. I spent several hundered pounds trying other saddles with various amounts of padding and design including 2 noseless designs but they all irritated (which unfortunately you only notice after the ride when it's too late). I am now using this saddle on a hybrid for road and light off road cycling (daily for up to 20k including hills) and...well, I'm still cycling after several months - symptom free! This design has its drawbacks: you need to adjust the saddle a bit further back than a usual saddle and adjusting height and tilt takes a bit of trial and error and is not always intuitive. You seem to want to sit further back on this saddle too - and consequently put a little bit more pressure on your hands. The front of the saddle digs into your thighs a bit, which you can minimise by adjustment and I bought a set back seat post to help. I am still aware of it touching my thighs and I cant vouch for any kind of performance cycling or really long distance stuff. For that, the pro version might be better. Either way, this has transformed my life by allowing me to cycle again. There are alot of negative comments about this saddle on various internet bike fora. Judging by the language used, I think these comments stem from pretty narrow minded folks and perhaps those who are really into performance cycling/speed. I would guess none of these comments come from someone who had prostatitis. Also, another tip: worth searching around for the best price. The price online can vary from £45 to £145!

Ingenious design
A very clever design. Easy to fit to standard seat post. Easily adjustable. Takes a bit of practice to get used to riding on it without slipping off. Unfortunately, didn’t resolve my perineal nerve problem so still can’t ride the bike.

In general Good idea-poor make
After 15 km of use-it starts squeaking.Even duly lubricated-it squeaks. This is very disappointing for me. In general Good idea-poor make!

A great purchase!
As a life time 'easy rider' I fitted Brookes saddles without thought. In the mid 1970''s I was knocked off my Yamaha motorcycle several times and as a result 20+ years later have painful hips and other parts! Using Brookes saddles always caused me discomfort as it's like sitting on a old railway sleeper!! I have purchased other saddles, like a blow up one, one's with gaps here and there and other variations. I even brought one called the Big Bum saddle and 'velcroed' a air bag to the top and fitted a home made seat cover! This was reasonably successful. I then found out about the Hobson saddles. After I purchased this saddle and fitted it and in my usual manner of not reading the instructions, I set off from outer Worcestershire to Warwick to visit my daughters home via the canal''s. All was well apart from the saddle edge cutting into my leg back parts......later to get cramp there. I now read up on the Internet about how to set up the saddle for ME! I rode my cycle several times and lowered the front of the saddle a quarter of a inch and moved the saddle back twice. Now all is comfortable. I even wore my new hernia truss whilst on the saddle, it has a strap that goes under your leg...imagine a Brookes with that strap! In no time at all the truss became invisible to my mind and the comfort remains....it's all down to the cooling gap in the saddle middle.....a seven star award!

I purchased a lightly used original Hobson Easyseat last year on eBay because I wasn't sure if I would like this type of seat, so I didn't want to invest a lot of money in case I didn't like it. I ride a Trek 7300 hybrid bike and the original seat that came on it, was causing numbness in a place guys don't really want numbness. The original Easyseat was a huge improvement over the original seat, the only thing with this type of seat without a horn, is you can't ride without hands, but I don't do that anyway. The down side of the original Easyseat was that the pads are a little longer and have less padding, so after a while (20 miles), the pads would dig into the back of my thighs and it became uncomfortable to sit on. I decided to spend the money and upgrade to the Easyseat II. The pads are shorter and the Easyseat II has a considerable more amount of padding, so the problems I had with the original Easyseat are no more. I just rode three hours today with no problems at all, and I was very comfortable. If you're considering a horn-less type of seat, the extra cost for the Easyseat II is well worth it in my opinion. I don't think I'll ever go back to a standard bike seat!

My original bike seat with 'nose', caused such pain after 20 minutes of riding, I just couldn't stand it. When I found this Hobson Easyseat II Saddle along with the adjustable width, I had nothing to loose, but to order it immediately and give it a try. Upon delivery, we replaced the original seat with this the Easyseat. Taking the bike for a spin, there was an immediate difference, now able to bike much longer in comfort. I did have to lower the seat stem as this seat has thicker padding. Very happy with this purchase. No more discomfort!
