PENSOILPH pH Pen for Soil, Coco, Rockwool and Solution, Easy Calibration

bought this for my Wollemi Pine that needs acidic soil that is slightly more acidic than the brands of soil you get at local garden centres. It comes with no test solutions so you have to get those and you need to (acidic and alkaline). The device performs well when calibrated and i was able to test the different soils i bought to find the right one. pros 1) accurate 2) doesn't take long to sample cons 1) cleaning -but that's to be expected 2) you need to buy calibration solutions - i wished they added small bottles of it given the price point 3) price - but it is accurate and more so than cheaper brands

Brilliant piece of equipment as you would expect from blue lab don’t hesitate if you need to know the pH of your soil I will struggle to find something better to do the job

Only used this a few times to check the ph of my soil. My first pen lasted a few months before I got an error message while trying to calibrate with ph solution of 4. It would not calibrate, no support from Bluelab which was of any use. The pen was eventually replaced but the same error happened just after the first year of warranty had run out.This is a waste of money I would advise to look for an alternative

the product itself is good however doesn't state whether it is calibrated on arrival, on instructions it states: to calibrate but doesn't come with solution, so will need to be purchased separately.

Awkward, impossible to maintain for long term, get the multi probe machine and buy the leap probe attachment if your heart is set on reading oh directly from medium, this is outdated technology

I Threw in the towel with just about every other device. So i bit the bullet and got a blue-lab. Never before has the saying "you get what you pay for" been so relevant! great accurate performance as always with blue-lab. You can trust me i have been trying all the cheaper ones and they don't work.

It's pricey but it seems to be very accurate and its easy to use once you get familiar with it. Love the fact it tests both soil and soil solution.

Tolles Gerät. Kalibrieren geht schnell und einfach, Messungen sind wiederholbar genau und in wenigen Sekunden fertig. Hätte ich viel früher kaufen sollen. Preis ist natürlich für den Hobby Nutzer schwer zu rechtfertigen, bereue den Kauf aber keine Sekunde. Online ist viel über die „fragile Glasspitze“ zu lesen, finde diese Aussage allerdings vollkommen übertrieben wenn man das Gerät mit Vernunft handhabt. Endlich Gewissheit bei den Boden und Wasserwerten, meine Pflanzen werden es mir danken.
