Gel-Mission Walking Shoes - AW23

I think this is my third pair of these ASICS Gel Mission shoes. I bought them originally as they were recommended for people suffering from plantar faciitis, and I would go along with this. The support they provide definitely helped reduce the pain for me. I have always found them very comfortable, as they have a reasonably wide fit and don't rub at back. As I am prone to plantar faciitis, I tend to wear the same shoes if they are comfortable, so I have worn these as pretty much my only shoe for going on five years now. What this means is that I have worn these to go to work, which involves a lot of walking and standing, and I never get sore feet. They are completely waterproof and are very warm through the winter months. My first pair of these lasted over three years, which is excellent given I was wearing them pretty much all the time. The second pair sadly split at the seam between the sole and upper of the toe of the left shoe after just over one year. As I had been so satisfied with the previous pair I bought these as a replacement, as I figure that it may just have been one faulty pair. Overall though, I feel these are excellent shoes .

Comfortable Everyday Trainers with Reliable Support I decided to try the ASICS Gel-Mission 3 shoes as I was looking for a pair of trainers that would be supportive enough for daily use while still being comfortable. When they arrived, my first impression was that they looked sleek and well-made, with a simple yet stylish design that works well for casual wear as well as light exercise. The shoes are built with a sturdy rubber sole and have that cushioned feel ASICS is known for. I found them comfortable straight out of the box with good shock absorption, and the fit felt supportive around the ankle. They are practical and easy to wear for walking or standing for longer periods, and they don’t feel too heavy. The quality of the stitching and finish also seems reliable, which gives confidence that they will last well. Overall, these are solid trainers that combine comfort, style, and practicality. They may not be the most lightweight option for intense running, but for everyday use, light training, or long walks, they perform very well. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for versatile, durable footwear at a fair price.

At the moment this is the only shoe I buy as it it well made, comfortable and lasts a long enough time. Fits well enough.

This is the second pair of these shoes I have bought. They are comfortable and have removable insoles, which allows me to add my prescription orthotics. My only reservation is that, like other Ascics trainers I have owned, I would like a stronger grip in slippery conditions but I highly recommend this model as a 'winter' work shoe.

Do not buy these appalling shoes. Trainer uppers parted company with soles at the toe in both shoes, one month and three days after purchase. They have only been walked in for a month: no running or hiking. I expected better from Asics and now have to swallow binning mine and buying alternatives elsewhere. Unimpressed and not inclined to repeat what has proven an expensive mistake.

I have been wearing ASICs trainers for a while as I have an arthritic condition that particularly bad in my feet, and both my physiotherapist and Podiatrist have recommended them. ASICs generally are light, have great foot support and have been hard wearing. The downside for me is that I pretty well need to wear them ALL the time, as normal mens shoes are just too uncomfortable for more than a few minutes. I needed something that was as comfy as a trainer but didn't shout "casual" too much. These seem to fit the bill. Indeed they are comfortable and initially I was happy with them. Where it all fell apart, literally and metaphorically was that they are no terribly hard wearing. I make a point of walking every day, usually 2-3 miles and they have been away with me on a trip to the US where I wore them most days. They have not been mistreated in anyway, and the upper still looks as good as new. However, the lining on the inside has gone in a mere 4 and a half months, inside the heal. I will add a photo. At first I wasn't sure if they were rubbing or not as I have a lot of foot and ankle pain anyway and a new pain is very hard to discern. But one day it got too much to bear and on removing the shoes I can see there is a seam on the inside of the heal and with the friction of my foot/sock its rubbed away until the stitching has given. So summing up, they are smart, pretty light and comfortable when new, but don't expect a lot of wear out them as they seem badly designed. I have replaced them with another brand that doesn't have a seam inside the heal!

Great value for money and none of my fears realised. Genuine ASICS fit well despite a deformity on my left foot. I would advise to buy Rahhint socks with these shoes for optimal comfort. They look a bit basic but for £65 can’t complain. Overall will buy again!!
