They only contain chemicals that are processed in water treatment plants so impact is minimal.

4 in each pack. But, I would not recommend this product! It actually stained my toilet bowls with blue streaks that would not come off even with bleach. I finally got the off by fading them with oxyclean powder and white vinegar in a paste. But I had to apply it several times before the stains were completely gone. It also created a blackish thick film in the tank that had to be scrubbed and scraped off.

does this clorox tablet harm the hardware, and rubber flapper and bolts in the tank ??

Hey, there! Great question, if the Clorox Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaner is placed too close to the rubber flappers/seals, they may have a tendency to deteriorate more rapidly. Aged flappers also may have a tendency to deteriorate more rapidly when exposed to the bleach compounds. Not flushing the toilet on a daily basis can cause bleach to accumulate and damage the flappers. Not flushing for 1 or 2 days may not have an effect (depends on other factors). is this safe for my septic system ?
