Lush

I love this Album, fantastic songs, guitar, bass, drums, vocals. You could say it's just an indie rock-pop record, but the singing and song-craft takes this to a much, much higher level than 99% of it's contemporaries. Easily in my top 5 albums of this millennium.

A wonderful record, with similarly complex song and dynamics to the debut by Soccer Mommy, with whom she shares startlingly similar vocals. Just shows what you can do with old fashioned instruments and classic song-writing. The End of the Road Festival is packed with American singer-songwriters of this calibre again this year.

Second album I have bought after buying Valentine. Deservers more success

I was over the moon with this, super quick delivery, well packaged and it is such a great album, give them a try whilst they are still up and coming, the singer has an amazing voice

I think this is the best album of the year, from front to back it has some of the best tracks I've heard all year.

Is she the future queen of indie rock? I think so. An accomplished debut album. Reminds me of old school Tegan and Sara with some fuzzy Silversun Pickups guitar tones in there too. A shame that Thinning and Slug weren't re-recorded for this album. With them on here and cutting a couple of the slower end tracks this would have been 5 stars.

Back in the 90s I was a big fan of the Red House Painters and Madder Rose. This album ticks both those boxes for me.
