Absolutely brilliant product used as a top coat for both my clay and plaster of paris pieces. Goes on very smoothly, I decanted a small amount and used a sponge brush however a normal brush can be used as I tried this also and worked perfectly well. Dries to a smooth finish Highly recommend

This is a thick lacquer but is the best I have used. It will need watering down, put about a quarter in a jar and add cold water. Then apply with a brush leaving it to dry several times, then fine sand using 2500 grade sandpaper, then apply very thinly many times using a makeup pad, again sand and leave a day to harden. Then use polish buff until the shine comes through and finally add a finishing wax and leave to harden for 2 weeks. A final buff is needed and maybe a final fax finishing to make it shine like a mirror. This is what I have us finish 2 Harpsichords and a table that looks professional. This also works on cellulose finishes where there were heavy scratches, and cellulose easily scratches, especially around piano legs. It really is a good varnish if you know how to use it. The clear gloss is the best for me, but matt, sanded looks just as fantastic, but just needs matt wax afterward.
