I bought for two reasons. The sleek looks and the feature to adapt to an uneven wall (have not invested in a screen thus far). Overall it has been a great product in my first year of use. Great visuals and also surprisingly good speakers for the size. Only thing I wish it had was an IR receiver so I could utilize a third party remote for a very particular AppleTV need (volume).

I was so excited to try this and and WOW ITS AMAZING!! The display quality is truly incredible and brightness is excellent. It has a nice frame technology where it transitions super smooth refresh rate and it beats any of my 4K tv’s!! I paired it with the 123” Akia CLR4 screens and it honestly looks like an OLED quality. Everything from shows to movies to the Super Bowl I was very impressed with. We have it a foot away from the wall on a low profile table and it’s perfect for the basement, very quiet you only hear it if you have the tv on mute but even then it’s like a light laptop fan sound, and the built in speakers are actually very impressive. It starts up within 10 seconds or so which is super quick and the software is very nice. Even came with the smart dongle for free to use Netflix with and all or you can take it on the go for another device! There’s just too many good things to say about this product, for $1999 you can’t find a better deal and bang for the buck. I wouldn’t suggest spending more than that until the prices of these short throw projectors come down. I am sure this will last MANY years. I love it!! It’s so easy to setup… just one cord and that’s it! It also looks very professional and kind of like a MacBook, it’s got a solid built to it with enough ventilation and it’s never even gotten warm after many hours of using it. Love it! I was very skeptical at first but after I researched for weeks in depth this was the best one of the price! It went down from $2499 to $1999 and they even honored a credit because of price change within 30 days and it has a 2 year warranty which is great!

After finishing my basement to be a movie theater/kid cave with the intention of installing a ceiling mounted projector, the idea of using an ultra short throw peeked my interest and I started looking for the right one. This one caught my attention for a few reasons, not only price. Built-in Google TV means we don't have to supply another device for access to the streaming content. The built-in soundbar means we don't have to wire up an external sound system. I put some faith into the other reviews of the device and purchased it during a sale. I was not disappointed. The brightness is great and the picture is visible even when all the ceiling lights are on. I am using a high quality projector screen. Of course it's best when the room is darkened but that is not a surprise for any display type. The resolution is phenomenal on our 108" projected surface. 4K HDR content looks as crystal clear as I'd expect from any display. The Harmon Kardon soundbar is the crowning achievement. When watching a big movie with big sound at high volume the entire house can enjoy the movie with me 😆. It's able to simulate immersive sound better than any other audio system I've had to date. The only negative I can point to is not really XGIMI's fault. Netflix has not certified the device so you cannot play content with the official Netflix app from the Play Store and have to use a side loaded version that emulates web playback in order to access Netflix content which is less than perfect.

It is a nice buy, i had to exchange my first one and get another because the sound started arching like it bust without me ever turning the volume up to loud. The second one also did the same thing, I ended up getting 100 from the people and buying a soundbar for the price it shouldn't be messing up at all. Projector with the soundbar is nice.

I’ve been using the XGIMI Aura 2 in a fully dark room with a 150-inch projection, and overall I’m extremely impressed with the performance. The picture quality is outstanding for an ultra short throw projector. Colors are vibrant, contrast is strong, and 4K content looks sharp and cinematic at this size. In a dark room, the brightness is more than sufficient, and movies truly feel like a home theater experience. The built-in speakers are surprisingly good as well — easily good enough for casual viewing without an external sound system. I’m currently projecting onto a plain wall, and while the results are very good, it’s clear that this projector would really benefit from a dedicated UST/ALR projector screen. At 150 inches, minor wall imperfections become visible, and blacks and contrast would definitely improve with a proper screen. If you’re investing in a projector at this level, pairing it with a good screen will unlock its full potential. Setup was straightforward, focus and keystone adjustments are easy, and the overall build quality feels premium. Smart features and interface are smooth and responsive. Movie nights genuinely feel cinematic. Setup was straightforward, and being an ultra-short-throw projector makes placement very convenient without needing a large room. I recently purchased the XGIMI AURA 2 Ultra Short Throw projector, and it has exceeded my expectations. The projector quality is outstanding. It runs silently, with no noticeable fan noise, and performs exceptionally well even in well-lit rooms, which was one of my biggest concerns before buying. Paired with a UST ALR screen, the output honestly looks just like a high-end television. The contrast levels are excellent, colors are rich, and the overall viewing experience feels truly premium. It also has a motorised dust cover which I think is necessary when the object has a high end lenses. It’s also great for gaming, with smooth performance and an immersive large-screen feel. A special mention to the Frootle India team, they were extremely helpful and patient. They answered all my questions in detail before the purchase, which made the decision much easier and gave me confidence. The only areas where I feel XGIMI can improve: • Warranty: LG offers a 3-year warranty on their UST projectors, whereas XGIMI provides only 1 year. I had to purchase an additional year, making it 2 years total. I strongly feel XGIMI should offer at least 2 years standard warranty, with an option to extend to 3 years to compete better with LG. • Native Netflix: The absence of native Netflix support on Google TV is noticeable. Adding this would make the experience even more complete. That said, in terms of performance, picture quality, and overall experience, the AURA 2 is actually better than LG’s UST projectors. Highly recommended for anyone looking to replace a TV with a cinematic, premium home-theatre setup.
