10 stars! My teenager LOVES this. Gen Alpha loves anything analog. I bought it for myself but it was instantly swiped away by my teen. It is so cool looking. Very simple and sleek. We got the orange color. Although it is plastic it still seems like a great quality clock. I bought 4 different alarm clocks so that I could hear the alarm and see if I liked it. This has a pleasant beep - not waking you up in a panic! This is easy to use and easy to set the alarm. You have to set it every night though as it doesn’t distinguish am from pm and when you shut it off, it stays shut off.

Very happy with the design and the operation of this clock. It is completely silent. By that I mean, unless your ear is pressed up against the dial, then and only then would you hear a sIight whirring noise. Who does that? I don't know what they mean by saying "if your hearing is particularly sensitive in a completely silent room you may hear a very quiet whirring" Nonsense. You would have to be a canine to hear the mechanism from any distance. My hearing is pretty good and I am a light sleeper.

This is indeed a cute alarm clock; however, it is not worth the large price tag. At all. The entire body, including the face, is plastic.

Why a 4 star review ? Materials are not up to expectations. Could have imitated retro materials, then FABULOUS! Clock price should deliver superior materials. I’ll keep it anyway, love the look.

This clock is small in size, but makes a very big statement. It is as quiet as a mouse. I thought with the black background that I wouldn’t be able to see the clock hands. Not true. The gold hands pick up light and reflect outward for easy reading. The design of the clock is timeless. No way does it look like a 50s retro rehash.

Cheap plastic, very overpriced. I like the look, but the plastic face with the imperfections along the inner edge, takes away from the quality. Works though.

This was a gift but the recipient reports being delighted with the ease of use, brightness and time retention. It’s very stylish on her mantel too.

Looks great on our mantle piece, have been wanting something a little different after redecorating and this looks fantastic. I do not enjoy a clock that has An audible tick, great news! This is almost silent, and one if the main reasons we kept it. The quality seems to be good but a lot lighter than expected so almost feels cheaper but I wouldn't let that put you off.

As others state, this is a nice looking large, " Vintage " Alarm Clock. Purchased on May 28 and arrived June 11 2026. Long shipping time to say the least. Now then, to the actual Wideboy Clock: It is made of PLASTIC just so everyone knows, including the faceplate. It feels flimsy and has NO weight whatsoever. It does NOT have any Lumination applied on any of the indices or numbers, so forget seeing the time in the dark. Period. There is NO snooze button to silence the alarm which is the standard beeping. There is no ascending alarm volume. What you hear is what you get. You have to physically pick it up and flip the back switch to deactivate the noise beeping. It is fairly loud, which is a plus. It does look pleasing and eye catching, with big numbers and Square Arms as opposed to Baton Arms. Too bad Newgate did not think to apply Lume to see in the dark. The clock is RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE ( $125.05 plus federal taxes to ship to Kingston Ontario, presents with a nice price tag of $141 plus Dollars!! ). Too expensive for what you get. SERIOUSLY SPEAKING PEOPLE. I should have done my research and homework prior to this purchase. I am going to keep it as I do like the aesthetics of the Vintage/Retro look and too much hassle to return. If Newgate reads this review, then make future Wideboy Clocks better ( meaning materials other then plastic with Aluminum or Brushed Metal ) and include the snooze feature, plus Lume to justify the astronomical price. No I would not recommend, just solely on the price to actual poor product point, and no I would not buy it again. Potential buyers have been informed on my honest and transparent review.
