Best light for family spaces makes winding down for bed time feel like a night at the movies regular day light is very very bright but makes day naps better with the night light setting. Very easy to switch from the 2 settings by just flipping the switch. Was super easy to hook up like seriously took 5 minutes 😳 10/10 would buy this again

The design includes a loop on the plate screwed to the electrical box. The light itself has an attached wire that hooks into the loop so that the lamp hangs in place making the electrical connections hassle free. I did have to replace the dimmer I had with one of the compatible models on the product page. Both the main lamp and nightlight dim. It’s perfect in our small TV/guest room.

Update: After 13 months, this light fixture appears to have failed. I will be able to confirm for sure when I put in a different fixture, but currently the light will not turn on and the switch appears to be working. This will be the last time I install a cheap light fixture in a hardwired installation. Earlier review: I chose this light for its low profile and nightlight feature. It's a great option for a room with a low ceiling that requires a very low-profile overhead light. I had it professionally installed and it went up in a few minutes. Dimmer I purchased this compatible dimmer switch (single pole): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D3KNH27R The light switch function works as described. Press the top side of your switch (or flip the switch UP, if you have a switch that flips) and it'll turn on the regular light, then flipping the switch down turns it off. Press again the top side and it will turn on the nightlight, then bottom to turn off, etc. In other words, the function of the top button or turning the switch UP alternates between the regular light and nightlight. The light twists off of the base plate, much like a smoke detector does. The function works well and has a satisfying and secure click when it is fully twisted in. Twisting it off is an easy way to access the color changing switch. (The light also has a small metal cord which attaches it to the base plate for extra security, so it is not just attached by electrical wires.)

Matane makes the best flushmount lights, hands down. The bang for buck is insane. I have them everywhere in my house and the brightness these lights pack is insane. They look pretty decent too. NGL, the wife did make me mount some other nicer looking brands, but they all had some issue or the other. Either too dim, or some funky issue like some delay turning on. These are really well made and easy to mount. They have a helper cable to give your hands some rest while mounting the lights. I found that very helpful as I have a bad shoulder and one arm gets tired quick.

The nightlight feature is excellent, gives enough room light with a warm color without being too bright, aesthetically. It’s fun because it looks a bit like an eclipse on your ceiling. Adjustable color temperature on the main light is much appreciated, and the lighting is uniform over the full surface area. Very low profile, so this is particularly great for low ceilings. Installation is very easy, and I appreciate the hanging wire so the fixture is held in place while connections are made. It’s interesting that the nightlight and main light feature fail at the same time, I have this fixture in multiple rooms, and the unit in my stairwell sees heavy use over the last 18 months and it just died. Maybe that’s decent lifetime, since this probably saw at least six months of constant use on average.

Bought set of 4 for my 900 Sq basement. Excellent lighting with 3 different ambiance to choose from . Enough to cover the whole area. Easy to install. Earthing cable to ensue added safety. Quality product and looks good as well. Light weight. Cable anchor ⚓️ protection to keep and drop hazard. Over all value for money.
